Convinced my girlfriend to do the 22 hour MCU movie marathon in our local cinema and I'll be seeing it on the 22nd instead of the 23rd (When it comes out in my country). Cannot wait. It's been hard not watching any MCU movie the past few months so I can enjoy every movie and not get kinda bored. Thankfully Daredevil helped stop that and AOS has been good recently too so that has helped.

Hypeeeeeeeeeeeee

Also, I need ItalyGAF's help, can't seem to find a cinema in Milano that'll show this in English D:

Hoping for more story and less action than the first Avengers, Marvel always flirts the line of having a really good story then tends to dive off the cliff and ignore it somewhat.

That hurts

22 hour MCU movie marathon? No my friend, you won't be seeing it on the 22nd instead of the 23rd. You'll be a vegetable while it happens to screen in front of your non-responsive eyes on the 22nd. :P

My condolences.

Can't get myself to be excited. Mostly because it's primarily Hulk, Cap, Iron Man and Thor again. I'm more excited about the new properties coming out from Marvel in the next years.

Though, I have booked my tickets for Age of Ultron for April 25 and I'm gonna go in having read most of the spoilers already.

Sadly not. At least not in the first week. Usually smaller theatres show the film a bit later and they might be 2D.

I couldn't possibly wait that long, so Wednesday/IMAX it is. The only question was double feature or just the 2nd. I chose the latter.

Wednesday is sooooo close now

Yeah, if i had a choice, it would be 2d.

Over here theres not even this "later smaller theaters will probably have it in 2d" because... over here (the few) smaller theaters only play smaller movies. Big movies = you have to go to the mall.

Will watch it this saturday, semi-excited but I'm pretty sure it will entertain me like all the other Marvel movies.

Question: is there a post-credits scene or not?

Yeah, I should probably go ahead and get our tickets. Gonna be at the theater 15 min early, so me and the missus can have good seats.

It's developing exactly the same way here. I just felt that 3D never added enough to make up for the discomfort and the surcharge. Having said that, our IMAX at least has the good kind of glasses, the light ones.

So obviously some of the Marvel Animation guys got to attend the premiere, including my director. His thoughts:

"Okay. Age of Ultron. You know how people used to say Star Wars made them dizzy back in the 70s, because it was so jam-packed with stuff? And then The Matrix in the 90s? This is that movie for the 10's. It feels like one of those anime compilation films, with 10 episodes or so edited down into a feature. It moves and jumps so fast, you feel like something was skipped over. It could very easily expand up to a TV mini-series with the sheer amount of stuff going on.

It doesn't have the same thrill as the previous film, which derived from all the characters interacting for the first time, but replaces it with non-stop momentum. Casual viewers may find it exhausting and frustrating. But if Marvel has already won you over, you're going enjoy coming back to this one and decompressing it a little further with each viewing.
That right there is a qualified thumbs-up. I think you need to be a pre-sold fan to get the most out of it. Fortunately for Marvel, there are a lot of pre-sold fans ready and waiting."

he can just sleep during the thor films and the first captain america. Nothing of value would be lost.

Me and my mates going to see it this Friday or saturday. Absolutely hyped and ready to be propelled into the stratosphere. I was actually physically buzzing walking out of the first one. It'll be cool to get a real quicksilver too.

There was a thread already. That it hasn't been taken down by Marvel yet should tell you if it's real or not.

It'll be a few weeks for me before I can watch the movie. Looking forward to it obviously but I'd rather not be a part of the opening-night insanity with noisy people and cellphones. Grrr. :(

Lots of coffee will be intaken that's for sure, maybe even something a little stronger!

I'm not expecting captain america to kick as much ass as in the winter soldier, but I will be happy if he is able to hold his own against ultron.

I also wonder how much dialogue was made for the trailers. Most of the gotg trailer dialogue wasn't in the movie...

Had the thought to book tickets last night, got almost the last ones for the 23rd.

Feeling temperedly excited as I was for the first, which I loved. Could be great but I've got some concerns. Not sure about Ultron as the villain and from watching a few clips I'm worried it might be too much of a CGI fest.
