I hope the arkham origins devs are making the suicide squad they teased. Would be great if it comes out with the movie like Battlefront and Episode VII.

Edit: and I really hoping that Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent meet before Batman and Superman

There were rumours that (and these a rumours, so they aren't major spoilers, but I'll tag them anyway)
that Clark Kent, as a journalist, is investigating Batman.
I'm sure they'll meet before the battle as Bruce Wayne and Clark Kent.

I need to see Bruce Wayne charm the fuck out of Lois Lane while looking at Clark.

It's pretty much obligatory. It'd also rather neatly answer the "why would they fight?" question: because Bruce Wayne banged his girlfriend.

if the Leto's Joker was the one who broke Batman and made him go "cruel"
if he killed Robin/commissioner Gordon ect
then WB is insane to not having a Batman solo movie after BvS and Suicide Squad.

No problem. The Justice League movies will be Batman movies just like the X-men movies are Wolverine movies.

That joker pic is sogood. Seems like DCCU has visuals on lockdown.

I'd love to see Black Adam and Cyborg's suits. Curious if they're going for New 52 Cape and hood or pre-52 suit only.

Probably the hood. It gives him a more unique silhouette and a more mystical look.

Where is the joker pic?

That's more my line of thinking as well, I'm sure they'll have their own take on it. It's going to be really interesting to see the art direction the other films take, if it will be Snyder-like or some of their own thing like TWS was compared to Avenger's god awful Cap suit.

Flash's design could also be an issue, they should totally do white eyes and a brighter red (similar to Wally) to help distinguish it from the TV show a little more. They should give their Green Lantern Kyle's mask instead of the crap Reynolds got, or just go maskless like Stewart.

I don't really follow Batman or Superman, like, at all.

I read a few comics decades ago, when I was a kid. And I've watched most of the recent movies. I saw some of the animated shows. But, basically, I don't follow.

So what's this Batman vs. Superman stuff about, very roughly? Are they enemies? Are they actually fighting each other? (Why?!)

Eh... it's important to see Flash's eyes. He's one of the more human and likable members of the team. Whiting out his eyes takes away from that, especially if it's Barry.

Really depends on how they handle it, Deadpool will be the trial run for that, looks like they're doing some cgi around his eyes so they can be more expressive. I guess you could argue that this style goes against the realistic take, but I think they could work so long as they aren't overly expressive.

They're CGI'ing Deadpools eyes so Ryan Reynolds finally has more than one facial expression. Flash is better lenless so when shits go hype you see his ...iris... light up with lightening bolts.

They're buddies, even best friends in the comics, but they also don't shy away from challenging each other's points of view. Sometimes it makes for some funny banter, sometimes it puts them in literal confrontation. Tons of opportunities for them to fight. Hell, Batman has a piece of Kryptonite in the comics that Superman gave to him in case he ever became a threat and had to be stopped.

As seen in Man of Steel, Superman is very much a possible threat to humanity. They aren't buddies yet, and Batman has no reason yet to trust this super-powered alien who, if he wanted to, could take over the world and crush anyone in his way. Either Supes really is overstepping his bounds as a hero, or someone (likely Lex) is manipulating him into going after this dangerous vigilante rumoured around Gotham City...

They're fighting because Batman fucked Lois Lane.

They're enemies at the start because Batman is paranoid about a godlike alien coming to Earth...and because Lex Luthor stokes the fears about Superman in the public forum. It's important to note that this is an experienced Batman in BvS and until we actually see them slug it out the V part could easily refer to their differing ideologies. That and in the trailer we never saw Bats speak and there's a theory the voice might not be him...

This black man lets it all hang out! I've got nothing to hide!

These threads turn into Groundhog Day when the same arguments are repeatedly made, destroyed by people who actually watched MOS, and repeated endlessly.

Oh I'm not even talking about those people

I mean I get the questions, movie is called Batman v Superman, if you only kind of know the characters, how do they match up in a fight? In theory they don't... so I can see why worried about that.

I also get wanting to know WHY they fight, though it's weird to ask anyone 11 months out especially since this doesn't seem to be an adaption of any single story though takes influence from TDKR clearly.

I mean the talk of making a "history of batman v superman" thread in reaction to the questions in the thread.

I don't think a History of Batman vs Superman would be a reaction.

I think it would be cool. I mean they've faced off in comics and animation so it would just kind of be like one of those "Post your favorite, etc" type dealio.

But I wasn't talking about a new thread haha

Isn't there already a History of Ultron thread? What would a "history of Batman vs Superman fights" thread be frowned upon?

Is it me, or does it sound like Lex Luthor has a somewhat southern accent when he was talking in the beginning?
If you mean the very first works spoken without any visuals on the screen... that's journalist / PBS talk-show-host Charlie Rose... born and raised by North Carolina tobacco farmers who owned a country store, but got a J.D. from Duke and went on to work for the BBC, CBS's 60 Minutes, PBS, etc.

His wiki entry includes this fun tidbit:

"The New York Times reported that Rose encouraged a discussion between the leaders of NBC and Fox that led eventually to a mutual reduction in ad hominem attacks between Keith Olbermann and Bill O'Reilly on their respective news programs."

That was surprisingly even-handed for Screen Junkies.

I was talking about the sound clip towards the end of the opening with the line "Devil's don't come from the ground, they come from the sky". Pretty sure the was Eisenburg.

I think that should be a new thread no? Thats a pretty clear look at 3. Especially the colour on Wonder Woman, costume looks incredible. Superman looks like a kid next to those 2 lol.

Thanks. That all sounds really interesting, actually! Very cool idea.

It should, yeah. It's gonna get buried in this thread.
