I'm sure you all know my stance on the film itself hype-wise, but I'm still looking forward to it.

As someone who eagerly wants all three trailers and have been avoiding the online release of them, which should be I most disappointed about not getting: Star Wars, Batman v Superman, or Jurassic World?

I'd say Star Wars, followed by Bats.

Next Thursday night tickets are in hand. Stupid US release date...all y'all foreigners best be using dem spoiler tags, y'hear?

looking forward to this. Excited to see how it sets up Phase 3, and Ultron is just going to be badass lol.

More team-up shots will be awesome too.

This month America finally feels our pain. The pain we bear as we await a long 3 day delay for our games.

Fuck all you guys seeing AoU this week. Dammit

This has been my most-hyped movie since 2012 when I walked out of theater after seeing The Avengers. This movie is going to rock

Hope Thor gets to go ham

Agreed...want at least another scene like this...

Got my ticket for April 30th at 7:30pm. It's Regal Cinemas' RPX version, which means it'll be in 2D while utilizing the Dolby Atmos sound system.

Can't wait!

I was able to see Winter Soldier and Guardians a couple weeks before release so I'm hoping I can find an early screening for this.

Yay, it's almost here in Holland!

I still have to wait until May 2nd... :(

Will be hard to avoid spoilers

Good excuse to post this one

Helen O'Hara of Empire magazine and a bit of a comic book nerd says: "#AvengerAgeOfUltron is even better second time. Funny, pacy, and utterly packed with stuff to enjoy."

She has similar taste to me so I'm looking forward to it.

(Is it wrong that I'm half considering ditching my 8 year old cousin (who hasn't seen the original Avengers movie) to see it on Thursday instead of waiting for the weekend!?)

I pray pray PRAY that I have an AWESOME crowd to geek out with.

That's part of what made the first film so fun, everyone was having a good time and the energy just fed off of each other.

You should've responded with a reaction gif. Stealth mode! :P

I could never turn off images. I'd be too afraid that everyone is saying mean things about me though .gifs that I can't see. There'd be posts full of people calling me a dummy in big flaming letters and I would never be able to tell.

Why wasn't this filmed for IMAX?
Logistics and budget mostly. It's an expensive and complicated process due to the weigth and loudness of the camera. You have to have an appropriate rig to handle it and you basically have to re-record any dialogue if it's present because the sound of the camera pretty much overpowers it all, which is why IMAX footage is often limited to the action shots.

Captain America: Civil War will have 15 minutes filmed in digital IMAX though, which is a more flexible version of the format. (Albeit at a lower resolution than the 70mm variant obviously.)

Ah, I see, makes sense. Thanks for the info.

You guys seeing this in 3D or 2D? Think I remember seeing all the previous releases in 3d and thought the post conversion jobs were pretty good-- only concern is that I have to see this Thurs @ 7pm or I won't be able to see it for a over a week after release. My thinking is the 2D showtime won't be as jam packed as the 3D screening will be.
