The most common complaint wasn't that Hawkeye was a bad character/performance well in the first but that he was under-used I thought?

Solid review. Two parts that the reviewer seemed to be down on that I think I'd probably enjoy quite a bit.

Theres no way it ends up higher...that would be hard to do , there was no comparison with the Avengers before, now its nice but we are all hype since we have had one Avengers film, another 2 are on the way, Civil War, Ragnarok, Black Panther...sheeeeeit in many ways this is only the beginning of the hype.

Can someone explain to me why people keep saying "Tony qiiet being Iron Man in Iron Man 3"... I didn't get that from the ending at all.

I'm at the cinema waiting for iron man now, great atmosphere, lot of people, more than I'd expect.

I think it'll be lower, Avengers was astonishingly well received. I also think critics are more jaded now with regards to these movies than they were back then. Guardians was a breath of fresh air but I don't think Avengers has that same uniqueness going for it.
My guess is 80-85% when the dust settles.
I thought this as well until I rewatched the movie. He blew up all of his suits and threw away the arc reactor that was in his chest. It felt like goodbye at the time.

I have a feeling everyone's going to take a dump on this. Whatever the movie gets on RT doesn't matter because GAF has it's own Metacritic going here. The Dark Knight Rises is something like 86 % over there, but here, it's the most pitiful abomination ever conceived, or close to it. If it disappoints a bit, and doesn't stand up to the first film, boy, we're in for some trouble.

Me neither. The whole movie was about Tony and the ending was just him starting his life again knowing that he is Iron Man and nothing can change that.

People are dumb.
The general sense I'm getting from reviews so far is if you liked the first, you'll really like the sequel. You're going to get a few people who can't stand Joss Whedon pay to see it and then proclaim triumphantly that they were right they wouldn't enjoy a movie by a man whose body of work they already hate.
I thought that review was written pretty, and based on it, I would still totally watch the movie.
He is Iron-Man, he is the mechanic, not the suit.
Of course that won't stop any future hero from taking the suit and be his own kind of Iron-Man.

So much love for the first Avengers in those reviews, it's almost annoying. That movie was a miracle for what it did but there was a huge room for improvement.

By miracle I mean putting 6 superheroes as different as the avengers in one movie and still make it good, grossing a billion or something and change Hollywood.

I'm sure he won't, but I do hope War Machine gets to do something cool. Him being absent from Avengers was probably my biggest peeve from that movie.
I've always thought War Machine is the cooler character, ever since watching the cartoon as a kid.

Lower, but will end up high 80s to low 90s I think. This one doesn't have the element of surprise like the first one did.
I know you're not a huge marvel guy but for some strange reason I want to hear your opinion on the movie.
Got my tickets for may the second as I have a concert i'm going to on may first.

I agree. It'll be a good movie, but people are over the surprise of seeing so many heroes in one movie. I suppose that's both a compliment and a complaint about the overwhelming presence of superhero movies in Hollywood.

Didn't really have any hype or expectations for this. Reviews seem to paint it as an enjoyable though not remarkable romp. It's a superhero movie, not Citizen Kane II. I'm ok with that. Will watch Thursday morning.
