Killing Floor 2 Early Access |OT| I Buy You. Birth sign: DOSH

I have a feeling it is real time reflections, but I haven't messed around with it much. I just did one match solo and even after knocking the res down to 1080p I still wasn't getting 60fps

Nvidia dude in the other thread said real time reflections kill FPS.

Real-time reflections setting is said framerate killer.

I figured.

Holy shit that boss doesn't mess around, even on Normal.

He's actually not that bad if you have a team that is somewhat competent.

Just need to constantly move, especially when he throws his bombs, heal whoever gets grabbed, and dump massive damage during grab phases.

Especially helps if medic throws a heal grenade whenever someone gets grabbed.

Haven't gotten the game yet, but I'd imagine the boss will get easier once Sharpshooter and Demolitions are out, considering those were the 'boss killer' perks in KF1.

Anyway, I need to get this shit in my veins.

The gore is kind of disappointing based off my first hour. Doesn't really feel as dynamic as they were selling it as. Seems to only be one kind of headshot and the skin shedding isn't all that exciting. Maybe it just disappears too fast, on ultra

Normal on KF2 seems easier than I remember it being on KF1. Berserker class still reigns supreme. Played several hours and want nothing more than to play it for several more.

Good game for a good price. Couldn't be more happy with it.

Probably when you have better perks/levels unlocked. My team is 0 completely and we struggled hard until a level 5 kited him around. Won two normal maps. Only leaves Paris to beat on Normal which I fucked up thinking someone was alive but they died before I noticed it and got killed since support eats damage like shit.

Man the medic guns all look the same, making it hard to tell them apart especially in a firefight. Too many times I've started firing to realise that I'm using the wrong gun. Maybe they need some kind of color difference.

Really.

The game is too hectic between managing all the enemies rushing you and friendly health values to waste time determining your weapon.

Yeah I had a few times where this happened to me as well. I'm glad it's not just me being dumb.

I feel like I'm the only medic who actually knows how to use heal darts or grenades. Last two games other medics have been running around with smgs and not doing any actual healing. Certainly never using grenades.

Edit: Non medic smgs that is.

Ugh, being a working college student saving money sucks.

The game looks absolutely fantastic and my friends are having a blast, I just can't dish out more money until Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight. Oh well; patience is a virtue.

It's just non-KF1 players playing KF2 right now. I think that'll change eventually.

Though, me as a support healing people on the boss wave so they can tank (WHILE MY ASS IS VULNERABLE SINCE SUPPORT CAN'T TAKE THAT FUCKING THING ON. GAHHHHH) with two medic guns off class, so I don't get EXP to level up support (NOR MEDIC) is a bit of a hilarious bullshit. Tripwire plz. Plz Twipwire.

Or you can drop one of those and pick up KF2 and play it farrrrr longer than probably either of those while saving cash for one of those. Just... you know... common reasoning?

And it is that time after game release again.

I want to be home killing zeds, not gulping one coffee after another and browse the internet.

I think you can get XP off perk as long as you fufill the criteria for that perk i.e. healing for Medic.

If he's still like in the beta you actually can't do any damage to him while hes grabbing (or trying to grab?) someone. So everyone should just heal. The medic pistol/smg should fit into most loadouts.
You also can't kill him before he's done at least 3 heal grabs.

Here's a mandatory tweak:
Go to My Documents\my games\KillingFloor2\KFGame\Config\KFGame.ini
Find "MaxDeadBodies" and up it some, 100 to 150 shouldn't have much of a performance impact on any PC that can handle the game well.

Eh, if that's the case I'd still like to see +x XP pop-up to at least show that me supporting my team, off-class at least is giving me SOMETHING for doing it.

Though really, as a support I shouldn't have to be the one running around healing people like crazy with an off-medic-class projectile heal pistol/SMG but what can you do?

Sweet edit, Locust. Appreciated. Will be upping that a ton.
I should check the .ini if I can push more on the graphics side.

ed: also when the boss run towards you, equip knife, run. Well, in my solo play I did that to cheese him a little on ledges.

POW right in the kisser of a Gorefast!

The shooting mechanics and slow-mo effect along with all dat gore makes for a grotesquely pretty game. This could be my go-to co-op FPS game.

It's like Splatoon without the blood(ink) traversal mechanic. heh

This is correct. I like to run medic, but go for the AK, then double barrel. And I gain xp for three classes simultaneously. Sorry medic weapons are wack compared to the other classes (smg is okay though for the headshots). When I'm running comm/supp I always grab the medic pistol as well to heal while I can as well. Are there any gaf servers users are using in particular. I've added myself to the spreadsheet, but would like to run some harder difficulty levels with a gaf team.

Oh my word, the guns feel SO GOOD. Pressing R when your gun is full being a gun check button is so nice to see. The characters feel a bit too chatty in a bad way, unlike 1's hammy but fun talking.

You can reduce voice chatter in the options.

You can minimize chatter in the options menu. Still haven't tried it out because I love the chatter lol.

I liked it when I pressed R while holding the shovel. The character just flips the shovel.

Was just about to post the same thing. Its such a small, but cool, feature :D
Didnt get to play this at all yesterday sadly but hopefully ill get a few games going soon. Bought the digital deluxe, just for dat Bowler hat

Played for a few hours today, feels so good.

Have to echo the Real-Time Reflections thing though. On Ultra I was averaging 60-70ish with dips in the 40's when there was a lot of action, but once I turned Real-Time Reflections off the framerate skyrocketed.

Played it mostly on Hard and havent been able to beat all rounds yet in pubs, but gotten close a couple times.

Gotten to level 10 medic, been enjoying it a lot so far. Interested to see if there's anything I can whip up quickly in the map editor or going to be a learning process.

I'm glad the game is selling a lot, its exactly what I expected from a Killing Floor sequel: amazing gunplay and lots of fun. And visually its very good, one of the best if not the best "horde" game. Also I like how they improved some classes, specially the medic.

Doors that break down no matter how much you weld, intentional? In the original the only thing that will break it is if you get overwhelmed. When I hold the door long enough it'll just break.
