I don't believe it. I just one-shot M

. It was a moderately difficult boss, but nowhwere near the hardest. I guess I am close to the end now.

So has anyone tried an "add fire atk" bloogem on the blades of mercy? I know fire atk% won't work because of the arcane damage in the BoM, but add fire atk should work, with three damage outputs, ATK UP bloodgems should be deadly since it will multiply three attack types.

What's the highest add fire/bolt attack gem you found? I had a 40 in one of my earlier characters, but there are probably better ones.

Speaking about armor, they really nose dived in that department. I'm wearing the same stuff ever since I got it. Yarnham Hunter Head, Father G Chest, Charred Hunter Gloves, Charred Hunter Pants. Best allround mix and looks pretty dope. Sadly I can't wear some other sets, since the weapon clipping drives me insane.

Hope the next entry will feature some good ol' heavy armor again.

Yeah, the armor is pretty disappointing for me. Some of the sets looks cool but the stat differences don't seem to make much of a difference.

The stats make a HUGE difference.

White church set is essential for nightmare frontier, Crowfeather/Ashen for frenzy, Charred for fire, Henryk for bolt, Knight's set for blood...etc.

The difference is actually massive, some people just don't bother because the only stat people are looking at is physical defense, Bloodborne handles armor in a more RPGish way than Demon's or Dark in that each armor set gives you certain advantages & disadvantages instead of a linear upgrade.

The above doesn't apply to me though, because fashion > function.

I guess I should have clarified. The stats do make a difference but I would have liked it more if there was more of a progression from bad armor at the beginning of the game to lots of sets of really good armor at the end of the game. Each time I got a new armor set, I was disappointed because it didn't seem to clearly be better or worse than what I was already wearing.

I actually love that defense makes very little difference in this game. It allows me to fashion souls without feeling bad about defense. I'll switch to specific armor for very specific situations as you described. Other than that, I don't mind or care about the defense. I beat scholar of the first sin with the starting armor cause I was too lazy to switch to whatever I was finding. Armor is completely overrated in these games.

Same, I love being able to use armor I like and not worry about if it has crap defense or whatever. I hope that never changes for this off shoot of the souls series. But now that I have it I'm basically Crowfeather4lyfe.

^how about using spoiler tags instead of screaming SPOILER SPOILER!!11!!

To be honest, it's not that different from Dark Souls. The Knight set is only marginally worse than the Brass or Dark set.

The only armors that are noticeably better are the super heavy ones like Giants and they brake the game, both PvE and even more so PvP.

Because you can't post an image and have it show in a spoiler!!11!!1 :P

Yeah, Bloodborne treated armor in a more RPGish way than previous games, so instead of going from shit armor -> meh armor -> decent armor -> good armor, it made armor have different resistances for better "role play", so you go from goos physical defense armor to good arcane defense armor to good rapid poison resistance armor...etc.

Some people may hate me for this, but I want Dark Souls 3 to Implement the armor system like Bloodborne, I loved changing my armor sets for every situation in my first playthrough.

Trade it in?
Wha?

I know. It is a little odd. The main reason I traded it in being that I ordered the game from a UK website called Simply Games, but they ended up sending me a Greek copy. I'd rather have a UK copy for my collection so I will wait for the price to drop and then get a UK edition.

Finally part of the Platinum club!

I was actually surprised at how straight forward the trophies were in this game compared to the Souls series, which I never got all the trophies for. It helped that none of them were online pvp or grinding for extremely rare materials across multiple NG+ (looking at you demon's souls!)

Anyway, in terms of difficulty, here's how I found the bosses:

Hardest:
1. Martyr Logarius
2. Blood Starved Beast
3. Vicar Ameila
4. Gherman
5. Amygdala (defiled chalice)

Easiest:
1. Celestial Emissary
2. The Witch of Hemwick (first try)
3. Micolash (first try)
4. Moon Presence (first try, with only 4 vials to start)
5. Wetnurse (first try)
6. Yharnham (first try)

Holy shit! I rang the beckoning bell to help random players with
Rom
and I got paired with this 2 guys and we hit him so fucking hard he went from stage 1 to stage 3 and doing that made the spiders spawn in point number 2 while he was at 3. This fight was basically served in a silver platter

You can cheese this fight if you want, I did it last night.

There's a spot you can hide behind on the right side, behind a fallen pillar, about a third of the way down the room. You just:

-Walk up slowly and score one R2 charge attack with your best weapon
-IMMEDIATELY turn and run to the hiding spot. If you were quick enough, she'll come toward you but just when she is about to see you, she'll turn around and go back
-If she does spot you, sprint around her and down to the other end, wait for her, then sprint past again and back to the hiding spot
-Either way, once she is back to the spawn again, rinse and repeat.
- Watch out for that shield thingy she has when more than half dead. when you're sneaking up, make sure you stop before hitting it.

Your cover should block all attacks, including the frenzy blood and deadly lightning.

You might want to have your best lightning protection equipped just in case.

There's also another funny trick that nearly works: when you sneak up to her, you can wedge yourself into her ass between the two legs and start hacking away. keep pushing in to stay between the legs and when she turns, she drags you with her so you always stay behind! Problem is when the lightning attacks come out.
None if this works for me at all. So sick of this thing. I've died at least 50 times to this.

BTW: anyone else getting something about not being able to connect to server now?

So, any news about 1.03 patch? They said that it would be realeased this month, but that was all. Load times and aditional fixes, as well. I hope they fix all the glitches and bugs that are already in the game, and of course the damn load times

:( nah think they're waiting for everyone to platinum the game first... -_______- I haven't played pretty much since it's annoucment.. Really need to learn my lesson and stop buying games on release... Shame..... and I'm betting pvp and coop won't be fixed for awhile...

But all the Souls games worked like that too. There is no "bad" armour in them, only minor differences.

Fashion Souls/Fashion Borne for life.

Took out M
icalash
, then ran into three not so little pigs afterwards. And I also hear big headed douchebag humming in the distance. Done for the night.

Tried looking it up, is it true we still don't know what the
Yharnam Stone
does?

for the DLC maybe?

Nice job! You should summon Hall and Nash to help you for the next part ;o

The stone is just an ingame trophy. It won't be used for dlc unless their goal is to keep 95% of the player base from playing it.

Got to the Blood Starved Beast last night, and the ugly bastard mullered me when I had it down to about half health. Exploring the environment is my favourite thing about this game though, and I love the art style of the level design and architecture. Luckily I opened up a couple of shortcuts in Old Yarnham, so I should be able to skip back to the boss without too much trouble. It's a pretty tough area so far.

I guess I'm about 12 hours in with a level 30 character.

Yay! Finally got through the Defiled dungeon. Really struggled on the 2nd boss. 3rd one wasn't so bad. Thanks to all the people that suggested to
stay on Amygdala's tail and chip away from there. It took a while, but it trivialized the end part of the fight. Only one more dungeon to go, I think!

Congrats on the plat, defiled is much harder than the last dungeon. Unless you have trouble with BLB 2.0(easy!)

Yep, that strategy worked wonders against
Amy. She just kept jumping when you'd whack her tail giving easy access to her head, until later when youd just ran and smack her.

I would have to agree with an earlier poster I asked, that the last dungeon is easier. Well, the bosses at least.
