There's a spoiler thread for the movie now btw.

But since all the momentum is currently here, can someone please confirm if the link to alternate costume sketches made it in the film? http://www.comicvine.com/avengers/4060-3806/forums/avengers-age-of-utron-new-scarlet-witch-costume-co-1583226/

Costume talk:
Honestly, the alternate costumes get about 5 seconds of screen time, so it's hard to remember if they exactly match. It was fairly close, although I don't remember her wearing any headgrear. She did have a different hair colour though.

Argh where is the classic Avengers theme D: D:

thanks btw

One thing I simply cannot understand with how much Marvel gets right is how they just refuse to establish any consistent musical themes. The Avengers theme was very memorable and should definitely have been used in AoU. Really what they should have done if they were smart was treat it like the Fellowship theme from LotR and have it shift tone as the team forms, has internal fighting, bands together, etc.

Imagine if Star Wars had different composers and themes for each film. We would never have that feeling of hearing the Imperial March or Tatooine theme and that alone giving us goosebumps. Every Marvel film has a whole new slew of tracks which none have been outright terrible or anything, but they are coming off as oblivious to the benefits of musical themes. Hell, even using ACDC was sort of Tony's theme in previous Iron Man appearances which they totally chucked in the trash for IM3 in favor of some new theme we'd never heard before, which will most likely get scrapped for any future appearances. Winter Soldier had a very nice "TDK Joker-esque" theme which anyone with a brain would tell you to keep tied to that character, but with their track record (pun intended) i'm sure it will never get used again.

About two more hours to goooo. I haven't read too many details so far, nor have I seen every TV/film spot, so I think I'm going in without having much of it spoiled.

I'm still crazy hyped, but the comment about
the not so great visual effects
is pretty damn surprising.

Wouldn't be this one of the movies they'd go all out on? No expense spared...within reason?

This thread has been great at bringing down my hype. Now I can concentrate on other things until I get a chance to see this movie.

And probably enjoy it more that I'm not expecting the second coming to happen somewhere in the middle of the third act.

Lol, I got to the cinema complex a little early and there are already people here waving Thor hammers around. This is going to be a fun audience.

Edit: Joined by Captain America, Hawkeye, Agent Coulson, a few Shield agents and the Hulk.

Will have seen it by this time tomorrow, having read some impressions of it (in addition to my so-so thoughts on the first movie) my expectations are actually low - however for $4 it's still worth seeing at the cinema (a normal movie ticket costs $21 here, I got my ticket super cheap due to a deal with an internet provider selling cheap tickets - should have really cost me $11 - but I had $7 left on an old gift card).

Sweet deal. Reading Cinemas in my town sell all tickets for only $10 everyday. Cheapest in Australia. It's a great cinema too!

So saw it. Much better than the first film, but still isn't WS-tier.

A bit of a forced pathos on some, but they're not that maligned. My only gripe is that the action feels more like I'm watching a video game. And some of the lines are cringy, particularly the quipping. Very Whedon-ish.

Cinema chain here in Belfast is doing an Avengers triple bill... all for £12

Avengers Assemble : 18:40
Captain America - TWS : 21:20
Avengers - AoU : 00:05

Not sure I could handle all 3... but might take a run at TWS & AoU

Saw it last night. It had a few small issues, but I really found the movie to be totally awesome. I enjoyed it more than the first to be honest, and I loved the first one.

Don't underestimate Ike's frugality.

Just saw the movie... I had a great time!

It's just a bit disappointing that
edit: blablabla I should probably post that in the spoilers thread
.

watch it guys, it's a great marvel movie, full of great character moments and awesome action. not russo brothers action but still it's superheroes doing stuff so it's all enjoyable in the end.

I'm doing all 3 at Dublin Road man, if it gets hard will nip out for a drink.

Refuse to believe!

For me top WS or bust

I don't think any superhero movie is going to top CA:WS for a very long time, it was just too damn good. Although for me personally GotG might have topped it. It's a toss up, CA was the better film but GotG was so much damn fun.

Anyway, if A2 is at least as good as A1 then I'll be a very happy person. I'm not going in expecting the best movie ever, just a good ensemble movie that's fun and interesting.

Seems like my hype won't ever grow high.
All I want out of this movie right now is Vision, Scarlet Witch, War Machine and Falcon.

The whole Ultron army doesn't interest me one bit. Also I weren't that fond of The Avengers, it had such a slow start, and the whole New York battle against the Chitauri wasn't that exciting to me either.

I still hope Age of Ultron will be more entertaining though.

The first movie's cgi sequences were not the greatest in quality either save for The Hulk (most of it barely looked better than a tv show - almost as bad as the cgi in "once upon a time").

I actually got to see the first movie for free thanks to my work when it came out (granted I didn't see it on the first day or week of release :-/). Also my habit of watching movies, if it's not organised before hand I usually have days off just ).

I didn't really see The Avengers as being the 10/10 movie other people saw it as (was more like 6.5 or 7/10 for me). Having read some non spoiler impressions of the movie reviews over the last 24 hours it confirms my suspicions
That the movie is similar to a tv series "filler" episode.
