Can someone tell me the names of the people in the last five seconds of the film? Besides
Scarlet Witch and Jarvis 2.0, who are those other Avengers?
I know I pretty much spoiled myself for
Agents of Shield.

The new Avengers team is Captain America, Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Vision, War Machine and Falcon
.

is it right for us to assume that civil war will be an avengers 2.5 movie..or will it still be a cap focused movie? does the movie ever say anything about registration? or even hint at civil war at heart

for those of you who've seen it in 3D: is it worth watching in 3D? or could we just get away with watching it regularly and it'd be the full experience?

There's more characters but everyone involved says it's still mainly a Cap movie.

i thought the film was dreadful. there was way too much stuff in the movie which led to bad editing and loads of quick cuts to different locations. it was all over the place really.

way too many annoying attempts at humour, some of them landed and were enjoyable but most of them did not and just made things awkward.

elizabeth olson & aaron johnsons accents were laughable as well, particularly elizabeth olsons, jesus christ how did they keep that in the movie.

the hulk and black widow's romance just came from nowhere as well, no build up or anything, was there any sign of this in the first film? i cant remember.

definitely the worst of the recent marvel films to date.

Could you point to something specific about how the accents were "laughable"?

eh, but I think Loki was at his compelling in his first appearance, and that he's gotten progressively weaker as a character ever since.

I actually agree with you. Loki's internal conflicts as he discovered his heritage in Thor 1 gave him a lot to work with, but by the time Avengers 1 rolled in, he has established a kind of credibility as a villain with the audience, I mean.

Ultron was just introduced and then he was disposed so quickly, as if he's just another Iron Man villain. IDK :< I feel a bit let down by how MCU has been treating its villains so far (except for Loki and Kingpin), I guess...

TBH I feel a bit the same about the team. The Avengers JUST came together in one movie in Avengers 1 and already they are changing over. idk idk.... i wanted to like AoU more than I did, but yeah....

I do like Vision lots though.

scarlet witch sounded like an american teenage girl doing a really bad eastern european accent.

aaron johnsons wasn't as bad but just sounded a bit over the top and stereotypical.

i mean you've really gotta watch the film for yourself to find out.

QS's accent in the trailer was spot on. "You didn't see dat comink?". But for the rest of his scenes, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's yo-yos between his mock Easter European accent and his native English accent. When he gets the accent right, it sounds really good. It just isn't consistent.

Elizabeth Olsen never has a convincing Eastern European accent, and hers drifts in and out too. At times, she sounds like she's trying to pull of an English accent.

It's highlighted in their scene with Klaw. Andy Serkis fucking nails his SA accent. If you're going to do an accent, it has to sound right and you have to be able to do it consistently. The twins fail to do this, Wanda more so, so it's more jarring than anything.

Loved the character, but I found him really strange on screen. There's an uncanny valley thing that goes on, with his human face and CGI head weirding me out. The colour is the another thing. Looks like a talking bell end.

It is makeup though. And he should look strange and weird you out.

Can't this movie come out already? I want to lurk all the conversation but even the spoiler-free thread feels like a spoiler landmine field.

It's make-up and a mask.

Well okay. But that's comic books really. It's a comic book movie. I don't see why it's a bad thing.

Even more, "Fan Service" is the entire point of The Avengers in the first place. Comic readers loved it when characters made guest appearances in other comics, so Marvel created the Avengers.

Anybody else almost click on the Spoiler thread at least a dozen times already? Ugh

It's going to be a long week
I usually give 2 shits about spoilers but for this I am trying to be storng.

Yeah isn't the whole point?

I have already seen it. You still didn't say anything specific.

there should be a moment in the movie where Tony is extremely guild-ridden..i mean didn't he pretty much create the events of Age of Ultron..

hopefully there is

Movie dropped now to 78% on Rotten. 1% better than first Thor lol

I think critics are much harsher on a sequel that does not raise the bar. And though audiences seem to be into these movies as much as ever, reviewers seem to be much more tired of the superhero genre.

The most consistent complaint I've read is that it feels like a middle chapter and that it does not firmly surpass the first. Most say existing fans will be pleased though so I'm expecting to like it.

I'm still disappointed reviews were better. I was expecting a 85+ RT.

Seeing this Thurs night. Trying so hard not to search anything about this movie outside of this thread and box office stuff.

I just need to know:
Does Thor get at least 1 'big' moment? Like fighting the frost giants in Thor 1, or frying several leviathans with his god blast in Avengers?

I want to see Thor knock someone through a mountain. I want to see him split the landscape in two with a single blow. I want to see him be a god :-(

There's a part where
he's basically wiping out loads and loads of Ultron bots like they ain't even shit, causing Ultron to tackle him directly.
