Ben Affleck on the set of Suicide Squad

My hype for Suicide Squad continues to exponentially grow unabated.

I think I'm most excited for this flick after Ant-Man. It's the most interesting film on the horizon.

It's happening earlier than we thought!?

Good, I was hoping that he'd make an apperance in SS.
Do you guys ever wonder if pictures like this and leaking info like the smash characters before release is problematic because it decreases your hype for the game when it comes out since you know everything already?
No. Not at all.

Hell yeah.

This along with the reports that Joker doesn't have that Damaged tat (or other tats either?) on set are both great signs.

Course, Joker could always get the tats later in the film I suppose... but let's try to keep a positive mind :P

As long as he gets his tats hand made or in a prision and not on MIami Ink, good for me xD

Because the Marvel way is the ONLY way to pull off a cinematic universe. Christ. I'm a MCU fan as much as the next guy, but shit like this is tiresome.

Where did I say that. I simply said Ben Affleck Batman should of had it's own movie and Man of Steel should of had a sequel so audiences can know who the fuck those characters are.

What if SS squad is sent to take out
Superman?

It would be pretty awesome to see a Batman Begins-type lead-in to Suicide Squad at the end of BvS. Or a mid/post-credits scene tease.

DC Cinematic Universe hype rising.

It's fucking Superman and Batman. How the hell do people NOT know who they are now? And you said it right there. You want the characters to have individual setup movies before they have their combined adventures -- the Marvel way.

I meant that they were envious of the money being made not that they were keen about pulling the cinematic universe off correctly.

Just kind of to dispel this talking point a bit

People do realize that The Dark Knight/Rises made more money than all but 2 of the MCU films to date (Iron Man 3/The Avengers)

And at the time of its release, Man of Steel made more money than all but those 2 films as well?

I will grant you, phase 2 has put Cap 2 and Guardians above it.

But people act like Warner/DC are paupers in desperate need to find a way to make money.

I think at this point, pretty much everyone knows who Batman and Superman are.

BVS basically is introducing Batman in this universe, and both he and Superman are being examined as parallels of one another. So, Superman continues his journey and continues to grow, and so does Batman who is in the midst of his journey.

I think the DCCU seems set up more like a television series than a series of different introductions/series, one after the other.

Can I borrow your crystal ball?

I can actually form an opinion based on what I know and have seen thus far. It's an amazing gift.

Even more amazing, I can change that opinion over time based on new information. Opinions, it turns out, are not set in stone! It's truly a blessing.

That said, here's what I know. A portly Ben Affleck is playing Batman. Current opinion? It sucks.

EDIT: he looks fat in the pictures in the op. /shrug

If that's fat, sign me the fuck up.

Which pictures are you looking at?

Assault on Arkham had a LOT of Batman in it though. I thought we would just get glimpses of him in SS.
Probably be like Azzarello's Joker. Presence will be felt throughout, and will appear when the Joker inevitably starts unleashing mayhem. I doubt we'll get a Batman vs Squad fight; WB probably doesnt want to reveal too much of their new Batman yet before his big debut in BvS

Portly is usually used when talking about some one short and stout. I don't think Ben falls into that description.

BvS comes out before SS.

Suicide Squad is supposed to take place between Man of Steel and BvS. It's brilliant.
Establish and introduce an entire array of villains for future films in one movie, and if there's a breakout, have a reason why Batman is back in action during BvS

That sounds like the idea Sony had to do AMS1, 2, then go back and do a movie set between 1 and 2. Which is dumb.

I know it's silly, but I'd love a moment in BvS, where a bullet wings by Batman's head, unrelated to what's going on and he's just too distracted to care about it, and it's not until the Suicide Squad movie that we see it was Deadshot taking a shot before continuing the mission, since they were in the neighborhood.

I get your point, but....

It's Batman.

The only person who hasn't seen Batman is Batman because he's too busy being Batman to look in a non-cracked mirror.

Deadshot wouldn't miss a head shot on a distracted Batman. He would be a sitting target.

You know, I thought of that as I was typing it, but then settled on the fact that we don't realistically expect the movies to be that accurate to the current comic characters anyway.
