343 fucked up. They want me to care about this Locke dude. But as someone who read all the books after finishing Halo 1, now all I care about is Blue Team.
They better not kill off members of Blue to make room for Locke, either. I will riot.

Lucky for you two, I just made a Blue Team Version. Painted in and tweaked some colors, though.

A better question is who is flying? I hope we will find out.
What's more, we also see mysterious Spartan fireteams supporting both Chief and Locke. Microsoft says in a post on the Xbox Wire that these Spartan soldiers will "play a crucial role in the showdown between the Master Chief and Spartan Locke."
But who are they? Microsoft didn't reveal any details today. Instead, the company says fans can expect information about these new characters to be revealed during Microsoft's E3 presentation in June.
It's not surprising at all. I can see them presenting them as new characters at E3. People who have stuck mainly to the games alone have no idea who Blue Team is. I see the question being asked a bunch on reddit.
Master Chief dies in the first ten minutes of Gameplay. The rest of blue team has to spend the rest of the game trying to revive him while defending against Locke and the Prometheans. By the end Master Chief is saved just in time for an epic battle with Locke that is interrupted by that huge promethean boss. After killing the boss together they battle it out. Master Chief dies. Again. The End.
So, I'm going to do a big write up on blue team and all its members here in a bit within a new thread. Would be nice to have a primer for the primer Xbox/343 will do before e3.
Plus, people just aren't damn hyped enough for Blue team (mostly because some unfortunate people don't know who they are).
Will be fun, hope to have it up by midnight est.
It's good but it doesn't fit Halo's musical identity, which was by that time extremely well established over five games.I know people miss Marty's music, but I thought the soundtrack for Halo 4 was fantastic.
in combat..who do you take chief's blue team or locke's team?

Blue team, no question. Even if each individual member of #TeamLocke was as proficient as each individual member of Blue Team (very big if), Blue Team has been working together literally as far back as they can remember. You can't top that level of teamwork and familiarity.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo
I mean, it'd be awesome to see it, but dude, making a new thread on gamingside is just asking for trouble. Nothing but shitposts inside the first page.
so Chief's team
Chief
Fred
Linda
Kelly
Locke's team
Locke
Buck
?
?
You think poodle? I feel like from that holiday fps thread a lot of people are picking it up around here. Some people might be interested in it? If it's a bad idea I won't bother. Don't want to cause a shit storm.

Do we know for sure that Romeo is in Locke's crew?
No but it makes sense because him and Buck got reassigned to a different team where Buck wouldn't be leading.
I think I can read the first post now:

"See, this is the problem with 343 and Halo in general. Why the fuck should you have to get read all this stuff outside of the games to understand the games, what the fuck are they doing, burn them!"
Cue firstpostgaf
Seriously though, I don't know if it'd go bad or not, but I do think that the general response would be more "why do I need to know this" than "gee, that's cool to know."

Chief's Team..since Halo 5 takes place in 2558
Chief- 47 years old
Linda- 47 years old
Kelly- 47 years old
Fred- 47 years old...all 47
Locke's Team
Locke- 29 years old
Buck- 48 years old
Romeo- 34 years old
Macer?- 21 years old
Tanaka- 18 years old
so it seems like it will come down to an age old...experience vs. youth battle
with Buck being the oldest on Locke team...Buck is actually older then anybody on the Blue Team..but overall.. it seems like the battle will come down to that
Well not to mention that Blue Team has been trained killers since adolescence...
I was thinking how it'd be kinda neat if they had two different manuals similar to Halo 2. Locke's manual would list John as a traitor and dangerous target while detailing some of Fred, Kelly, and Linda's skill and accomplishments, and might have some ONI propaganda on how the Spartan II's are a liability and a huge threat. Chief's version would do the same with Locke and ONI, along with some details on Buck, etc.
But then I realized, do games even have manuals anymore?

John isn't actually 47 years old, he spent some time in cryosleep.
so its like Metal Gear Solid V then...Big Boss is 40 yet goes into the 9 year coma...TPP he is not actually 49 but still 40?

I was about to say, we'd be lucky to get one manual, lol.
