Anyone know what time the main event is supposed to start? Midnight like usual?
I read it's expected to be around 11:20 since there's only 2 fights before which surprised me.

Casuals are usually what make businesses successful. The day most of the casuals leave boxing is the day when it is finally dead.Casuals about to flee this sport in droves. It's for the best.
I've never been more excited for a sporting event, but let's be honest - it will be good for the sport to be out in front of this and have the proverbial monkey off of its back.
A friend was quoted at $3500 for his business to have the fight even though occupancy is like 10 people. I don't even want to think about how much it'd cost a sports bar.Got a table reserved at Hooters for the fight, seems like most of the sports bars in my area don't want to shell out the money for the fight when there's so many other sporting events going on tomorrow. I'm excited and will be pulling for Pacman but I'm a little disappointed by how underwhelming the undercards seem though.

The bar I work at is paying around 5k.Casuals are usually what make businesses successful. The day most of the casuals leave boxing is the day when it is finally dead.

Sucks for people like me who live in The Netherlands that there is no way to watch this stuff somewhere. Not even online afaik.
I guess we'll have to do with online commentary or something.
even if pac beats floyd
will floyd still have the greater legacy?
Hopefully Pac somehow wins, but I doubt it at this point.
so uh, anyone who is gonna watch this live. can you like, pm me.

Is this eastern time US? So if I would use a time converter I could convert from 11.20 pm New York?I read it's expected to be around 11:20 since there's only 2 fights before which surprised me.
?
In 24 hours, maybe...
Floyd has the greater legacy as of right now...i think most would agree on that
but you think if Floyd loses, then pac has the greater legacy. he would be remembered as the fighter of the generation and not Floyd?

how many fights are their before may vs. pac tonight?
Depends on a few things, but yea 11-12 is a good guess.
Well, that is a good excuse for me not to buy it. Ain't nobody ever been sober at 11PM?!
Nobody but hardcore boxing fans will remember the relative nobodies that Floyd "ducked" years from now. If his career ended before this fight his record would stand the test of time.I don't know about that, Floyd has the better record, but I think Manny has the better legacy up until now. When I think of legacy, I think of who will be remembered generations from now, and I think Manny's career up until this point has been more memorable. Hasn't ducked a soul, has fought anyone put in front of him and looks spectacular in doing so.
Floyd is the better boxing talent, but his diva attitude and the way he has crafted his career is not something I can imagine the old school greats ever doing. All the old school greats have losses on their record because they fought the best out there, multiple times. Pacquiao is in that category.
When Pacquiao beats Mayweather tonight, he instantly moves into a different stratosphere, especially with so many people picking against him. It's not a fight he's expected to win. People expect Mayweather to win this, so when he loses, it will be devastating to his legacy. People will understand why he has dodged this fight for so long, why he has been so quiet and somber throughout the buildup of the fight, why he has shown Pacquiao respect that he hasn't shown ANY other opponent, etc.
Is there anything to get excited for on the undercard?
It's close. Many would give Manny the edge for winning titles in 8 different weight divisions.
The winner of this edges the other one out, in my opinion. Both are incredible.

So around 11 eastern or is that pacific?

What if the other fights end early, will it possibly start earlier?
I disagree, but it's irrelevant at this point, debating what his legacy without a pacquiao fight because it's going to happen. Once he loses to Pacquiao though, he'll still be remembered as great, but Pacquiao will be elevated to god-like status.
I think win or lose Mayweather will have the biggest legacy. Nobody in boxing has done what he's done. He took boxing to a different level. He was P4P king for 10+ years. The next generation of boxers are going to try to top Mayweather's record, P4P length and sales/money.
He took his career out the hands of Top Rank and became the highest paid athlete in history. Crazy.
I think win or lose Mayweather will have the biggest legacy.
Oh boy. "When".
That confident huh?
Not a chance, especially losing against Pacquiao. He's going to lose against the fighter that people have been clamoring to fight against for 5+ years, he's been using excuse after excuse to avoid it, and when it finally happened, he loses. Zero chance his legacy will be bigger than Pacquiao's after tonight. Zero.
