This fight is going to go exactly like every other Mayweather fight, and its the exact same thing that would have happened back in there primes. Pacquiao has issues with defensive counter punchers, and he's about to step in the ring with the best one the sport has to offer.

Pacquiao will pressure Mayweather and look good for the first few rounds, but won't touch much other than air, elbows and shoulder blade. Once Mayweather has analyzed the situation after a few rounds, he'll slowly begin to decimate him - until the fight becomes one sided.

If pacquiao keeps the pressure up, Mayweather may have to throw more punches than he's comfortable with. Marquez always did well against Pacman because he wasn't shy to constantly trade punches with him, along with his counter punching ability. Mayweather has the best chance of winning to me, but he will have to probably increase his punch rate significantly for this fight.

if it goes to decision pac is not going to win, he has to go for a knock down/knock out

Agree. Either a KO or multiple knockdowns with multiple punch hits against Floyd.

This is how I see it. Floyd is like the King Cobra or Python. Slick, smart, fast, and has sting to it's punches.

Will Manny be the Mongoose?

The best thing about this fight happening, is that we get closer to Pacquiao and Mayweather fans (NOT boxing fans), leaving the sport. Some of these comments from both sides got my head spinning hard.

Nothing said about Floyd as a tactician, technician, and intelligent boxer - just shit outside the ring

Nothing said about Manny's amazing foot work which gets him into position to throw from angles at fast speeds - just how much of an angel he is

lol.

Does Mayweather usually have a stick up his ass at weigh ins?

No, he's usually brash and super confident. Right now he strikes me as somber, almost resigned to the fact that there's a very good chance he'll lose the fight, despite how much he's favored by.

Mayweather knows boxing more than all of us do, and he knows Pacquiao is a real threat. His vibe right now is just like a lot of great fighters before they lose. Mayweather is never this way, and it isn't just because Pacquiao doesn't trash talk. This is him vs. Cotto:

It's a world of difference. He doesn't even want to get close to Pacquiao.

After the weigh-in, I'm even more confident in Mayweather losing tomorrow night. Some people may see a serious and focused Mayweather, I see nervous as fuck. He knows what's coming.

Can't wait to hear his excuses tomorrow. "My hand broke in the 2nd round" lol

Why do you guys always set yourself up for disappointment

I'm admittedly a filthy casual and I like Pac the most, but I wouldn't count on him winning. Oh well, it might still be fun, will watch :P

That T-shirt though. Damn. Pac gonna eat Money.

Still think Mayweather is going to win though lol.

What's your excuse gonna be tomorrow night?

I've been through this song and dance a half dozen times on this forum. I'm 99.9% sure he's going to win convincingly but if he loses, barring some ridiculous out of this world fuck job by the judges, then he loses. My life goes on. The world keeps spinning.

Heh, it's a much more exciting lifestyle. The mindset of "Mayweather is probably going to win, but if he doesn't, oh well" leaves little for the imagination to play with. And why do we love sports if not for the euphoria of imagination meeting reality?

I think this will go either way with slight advantage to Floyd. But we all thought Anderson was invincible and look at how that turned out. Father Time is always around.

Win lose or draw I would love to buy that shirt. The guys saying Floyd is going to stomp him remind me of the SEC (and anti tOSU in general) fans here who were saying tOSU would get rocked by Bama. Fights don't happen on paper. I think one guy is going to have to outbox the other, simple as that. If Floyd thinks he can run and win on reputation, the judges might have a nasty surprise for him. (edge still to Floyd, but only a slight one)

i just ordered the fight

so pumped for tomorrow

what time does the main card start, the pac vs. floyd fight

what time does the undercard start?

i live in central time zone?

so i just looked up the fight start

it starts at 9:00 ET

is that when the whole event starts= undercard

or is that when the may vs. pac fight starts

I actually went back and watched the Calzaghe Roy Jones Jr. fight. Joe Calzaghe is the ultimate troll/showboat in the ring. To be fair to Roy Jones Jr., he wasn't the same fighter at that point in his career but Joe Calzaghe made him look like a child.

roy was shot to hell and back by that time. There's a reason why Calzaghe didn't want to fight Roy back when Roy was still good

Event begins at 9PM here in NY. They will have 2 undercard bouts, assume they are 45 mins each if they go the distance factor in the intros and post fight interviews. Main event begins about 15-30 mins after the second undercard fight ends. So you looking at 11:30-midnight for MayvsPac t to begin.

When Roy was still good no one even knew who Joe Calzaghe was in the U.S. He was the underdog against Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy and made his ass look even worse than Roy.

EDIT: and regardless of Roy's condition at that point, he got clowned on for like 11 rounds out of 12. I actually felt bad for him when that shit was going on. Dude was doing the wobbly legs, the windmill into jab, the head into the chest, the hands down smile, the notre dame fighting irish slap head. Calzaghe was like 4th level black belt showboat and that was his final lecture.

Casuals about to flee this sport in droves. It's for the best.

I've never been more excited for a sporting event, but let's be honest - it will be good for the sport to be out in front of this and have the proverbial monkey off of its back.

Put down 2 grand on manny winning it.

I am not that crazy. Put down a whole €25 on Draw 18/1 thought

Cant help but think everyone involved wants to go through all this shit again to make even more money for themselves

Draw or screwy ending will happen to set up another fight, but I cant be on screwy ending.

Everyone involved just want to swim in money. Could not give a fuck about anything else - even integrity

Got a table reserved at Hooters for the fight, seems like most of the sports bars in my area don't want to shell out the money for the fight when there's so many other sporting events going on tomorrow. I'm excited and will be pulling for Pacman but I'm a little disappointed by how underwhelming the undercards seem though.
