So why didn't Pacman do some "actual fighting" tonight? Why didn't he charge in more often?
Their were two men in there, one who was known for his defensive prowess, another who has been called a "warrior" and "brawler"...what happened?
Manny Pacquiao is a SMALL GUY vs Mayweather.
You could see how much the size difference affected the fight by the fact that Floyd just ate punches and walked like nothing happened.
If Manny was actually strong enough, Floyd couldn't just hug him up and walk him backwards. Lean on top of him etc. It may not look like it, but getting leaned on and having your attacks spoiled saps a LOT of energy.
By contrast, Floyd expends barely any energy. He'll keep you at bay with jabs, then when you get close, hell grab and jump on top of your head. And that's all he'll do while you're running in circles.
Then when you're tired and frustrated, he'll start work.
The fact is Floyd had the height advantage, reach advantage and physical strength advantage. Combine that with insane defensive and fundamental boxing skills and there's no way Manny could win.
You can't win on the outside with shorter arms.
You can't win on the inside without the strength.
