The tuck rule was the changing of the guard. After that the Raiders could not do anything right. I am sure they wanted to continue cheating they were just too incompetent to do so.
The big difference between the two franchises is that Raider fans were always cognizant of the fact that they were cheating thugs. Patriot fans always denied every allegation and pretended that it was jealousy of the other teams that drove the narrative that they were cheating cunts. Now I think all reasonable people must admit they the gold standard of cheating in the NFL. Hopefully Pat fans can get there one day too.

That's a pretty true assessment.
The Raiders played the heel part really well. Their mascot, owner, and fanbase all knew the deal. The team was also associated with gangster rap even.
Pats fans just need to embrace their legacy.

Wouldn't it be easier to just admit that the NFL is a like a microcosm of America, it's a fixed game where the rich and powerful always get what they want and win? There's obviously no integrity of sport left in the NFL at this point, they might as well just make it like pro wrestling and just have everything be staged.

You make no sense, how is a rule considered cheating on the Pats behalf? shitty rule yes but it was in the rule books and the officials dedided to review the play right away. You can say it all started with spygate, Nobody had control over the tuck rule but the officials themselves.

Compared to you and me, yes everyone is rich and powerful. But in terms of the relative wealth and power within the NFL, the Patriots are much richer and more powerful than the Raiders and look how well those two teams have done since Tuck Rule.

The league should punish Tom Brady by making it illegal for him to pass the ball to a receiver that is less than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage. He'd complete like 8 passes on the season.

What? The Patriots got upset at a passing comment by Woody and right away complained about tampering. NFL investigated and fined the Jets.
But the Pats were the ones who brought it up. They want everyone else to play by the rules but have been caught twice now to be cheating.
The arrogance is what gets me. Complain about the Jets tampering, Tom tell the Ravens to learn the rule book, yet Pats are the known cheaters.
Oh well league will fine Tom or suspend him at most a game. Should be at least 4 games.
