Is it possible to change Word 2007 from defaulting to 11pt Calibri as the default font to 12pt Times New Roman with a blank header (so documents don't start at the very top of the page)?

Why is it frowned upon to post in threads that haven't had posts in a long time? If someone has questions or discussion in mind that is relevant to the thread, isn't it natural?
But why do people get upset about it?Because depending on how long it's been, you're better off making a new thread.

Do you include page numbers in your appendices for a dissertation?
My document goes
cover page, declaration, uni specific form shit, abstract, table of figures, table of contents - all not numbered
then the main body of the document, 7 chapters, all numbered
then references and appendices. should these be numbered? I honestly have no idea. It would make sense to me if they weren't, since they're not really part of the document...
I didn't really post on forums until around the time I got an account here, so I don't know forum etiquette too well. I don't relate to the secondary possibility, but I understand it now. Thanks for explaining! If a thread has died it's usually because the discussion has run its course and generally speaking when a thread like that gets bumped it seems like it's usually a "lol, great thread" or "i know what you mean OP" type post that doesn't further the conversation at all. If you think you have something new to bring to the table that people might be interested in, by all means, post and bump the thread. It's just a kind of etiquette, use your best discretion. Keep in mind that over time people get banned or move on from GAF so its entirely possible a portion of people that participated initially can't or won't anymore when a thread is bumped.
There's also the secondary thing that an old thread would clog the front page and take visibility from other newer threads. That is not an issue to me personally at all, but others could see it that way potentially.
If you are really unsure about bumping a thread (assuming you had something specific in mind) you could just post it in here instead. No question is too dumb!![]()
Hmm, it's certainly a nice gesture that I'm sure the person would appreciate, but it doesn't really support the Kickstarter in any way. The developer only receives the earned funds if the campaign goal is met; that's why most don't set up a Paypal option until after the main goal is reached. So it would be more helpful to just pledge that $20 to the KS campaign. Is it rude or just plain bad form to support someone's Kickstarter by simply handing them over some cash? (Like taking out your wallet and literally handing them over a $20 bill)
Using a tablet - portrait or landscape?
I did think about this, but then I realized, couldn't the person get himself or a close friend to pledge $20 to Kickstarter on my behalf now that he or his friend has my $20? At the end of the day isn't just the amount contributed?Hmm, it's certainly a nice gesture that I'm sure the person would appreciate, but it doesn't really support the Kickstarter in any way. Sure, I guess they could, but I just don't get why you can't pledge yourself rather than going this roundabout way to support someone that puts the onus on them, in the middle of this anxious time-consuming process? Also it's kind of frowned upon (and also kind of silly really given the whole concept of crowdfunding) for the person to add money to their own Kickstarter.I did think about this, but then I realized, couldn't the person get himself or a close friend to pledge $20 to Kickstarter on my behalf now that he or his friend has my $20? *Note: when I say "on my behalf" I don't mean it literally. As in they can contribute $20 to KS via PayPal or credit card or whatever and then hold on to my $20 cash. Right, wouldn't that be fine?

If it's because you don't have a credit card or something, do what I do. Take that $20 and get a prepaid gift card for the amount. Now you can pledge online
Ah, well, actually if the goal is met already, I don't see the problem with that.
Do you know what Kickstarter is? A game or something else?
You need 300+ posts. What is required of me to go from a Junior Member on Neogaf to a Member?
You need 300+ posts.
Yep, unless you have made some critical mistake in your past that earned you the role of a permanent junior.Aww ok thanks. I thought it was something like that. Will that also give me the ability to create new threads?
Did they remove the time limit? You used to had to be a junior for 3 or 6 months plus the post count. You need 300+ posts.
No, it's still there but the guy asking has been a member since 2009.Did they remove the time limit? You used to had to be a junior for 3 or 6 months plus the post count.
He only has 76 postsNo, it's still there but the guy asking has been a member since 2009.
What's the origin of the idiom of "take a leaf out of someone's book"? Why is it 'leaf' and not 'page'?
What are some advantages of a businessman with a background in international relations over one without? I am not to versed in this area so I can't think of much.
This is possible right?!
That's sorta what I do but I use an hdmi switcher. It has 5 hdmi inputs and one hdmi out to the TV. You can get them fairly cheap from mono price. I have my pc, ps4, xb1, and dvr running through it.Ok have a question about HDMI splitters.....
Right I have my PC hooked up to a monitor on the one side of my room and I'd like to hook it up for some couch gaming to my TV which is at the other end of my living room. My TV has my ps4 and wiiU attached to it.
Can I get a hdmi splitter and plug it into the back of my PC and have a small HDMI cable running to my monitor and then a long 5m cable running from the splitter in a seperate slot to a HDMI slot on my TV? It would mean I can game on my monitor and then press the switch to change to my TV if needed.

Can't believe this shit happened to me. Looks like my browser is hijacked. What's a good program to combat this? Been so long since I have had to deal with this kind of thing. The only odd program I notice was something called fixmypcuti... something a long those lines. I got rid of it, but the weird browser pop ups persist. Even noscript doesn't catch some of em.

I am planning on going on a hunger strike.
How many days is it "safe" to not eat? I want to stop at the cutoff.
So, GAF doesn't load my recent posts any more. Welcome Red Hood >> Your Posts gives me something from two days ago as the most recent post (which is incorrect). I've already tried logging off and on, which in turn cleared all cookies, but after logging on again it still doesn't refresh for me.
Anyone knows what's up?
