It's mostly mismanagement. RAW for example as a show is far too long, and between that and Smackdown you see a constant recycling of matches which honestly get boring - along with the rather tired Authority gimmick.
Meanwhile, the midcard is full of people who can put on decent matches, but they're left on the shelf or thrown in as filler - Luke Harper for example could be a monster heel if they let him. Instead their favourite pet stars get the lions share of every single show, I'd love to see an episode without Cena in it for once, or Roman Reigns.
The saddest part of it is NXT, which has less experienced performers but *as a wrestling show* is far, far better. As soon as someone gets too good - yoink! Off you go to the main shows for a brief push and then an eternal shelf place on the mid card, or worse if they're female it's 3 minute 'matches' and having to appear on Total Divas.
I think it's time for Vince to step down, the company would be making more interesting content if Heyman was essentially handed full creative freedom and scheduling on a plate.
