PlayStation E3 Experience 2015 Announced (Theaters)

I'm in.
I had a fun time last year.
The atmosphere of the event definitely changes when you're in the midst of a congregation of fellow gamers.

You're with fellow PlayStation fans watching world premieres and announcements live. Everyone reacting and getting hyped is worth it.

and that BO smell......it was strong with this crowd lol.....can't miss out on the feeling of possibly dying breathing through your nose.

Was fun, but not driving an hour again for it this year.

I can do all that in the comfort of my own home. It's like going to the cinema, just to watch trailers, or random adverts... why... just why....

Ok I'll try to make this clearer:

- To enjoy a giant screen instead of a small computer screen
- To enjoy better sound and picture quality then in your own home
- To enjoy the presence of other PS fans aroundyou being excited about the same stuff as you. ( Its like seeing a disney movie in the theaters and having a bunch of kids around you laughing, its great dude)
- To enjoy doing something outside instead of staying home in sweatpants like all the other days
- To enjoy doing something different then usual, takes you out of the routine
- To enjoy TLG trailer at its fullest

Think I'll hop in this year - unfortunately couldn't make it last year. Hopefully they have one either in south bay or on the peninsula - I really don't want to have to drive up to San Fran to watch it.

We didn't have that problem in our theater :)

But there were a ton of people, I think some of those who didn't sign up in time had to sit on the sides and the floor lol.

I went to this last year. Met up with some local gaffers. Was pretty cool, but they had some intermittent issues with the stream. Not sure if I will go this year.

But I will be super pissed if they give away Uncharted 4 beta access or something and I miss it.

Are there theater listings yet?

IIRC, that came with the ticket signups.

I could see them doing UC4 alpha and/or SF5 alpha.

Great Now Sony just make the actual stream available on the actual fucking ps4, I'm pissed off hooking up my shitty laptop

Of course they would have it in Louisiana at someplace like Baton Rouge because of LSU and college kids...

But in June all the LSU kids will be back home in New Orleans... It should be there.

Good job Sony.

YASSSSSSSSS

Excited. Great way to spend the evening after work!

Hoping Toronto lands on the list again....but I mean, it has to, right?

Edit- Surprised at all the grumps in here. These events are a ton of fun. You get to take in the spectacle, the highs, the lows, the megatons, the surprises, the embarrassments, all of it, with a live crowd. It's like real GAF. It was so much fun last year.

I want to go but that trailer makes it seem like it's gonna be all Destiny DLC and Batman. Blah.

?

There's also footage from Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank, The Tomorrow Children, Until Dawn, No Man's Sky, Star Wars Battlefront, Street Fighter 5, The Last of Us, Tearaway.

In a 1 minute trailer.

You expected them to reveal all their surprises?

It would be nice if Sony LatAm could work something out and provide at least a couple of rooms in Peru :(

Hey my fellow Peruvian! Yeah I also hope they did that in other countries. Living in Asia now, so the time is definitely conflicting.

Still, it sounds like a hell of an experience.

There was a really good vibe in the theater last year. Cheering and excitement over certain games. It was a lot of fun to participate it and it was great getting to watch all the trailers on a massive screen

I'll be going to one of the St. Louis ones!

Was great last year!

15 minute drive, great energy and enthusiasm by the fans, and some free stuff. Can't go wrong there, perfect way to cap off work day filled with hype.

I still dont get how this type of thing is fun.

Because you get to hang out with other people that share the same passion as you and you can take in all the reactions people are having to announcements. It is a good time. Provided I am allowed to, I will go again this year. :)

Cool, but I'd rather be at home and on GAF
watching it crash.

I checked in on GAF every few minutes in the theater too. It's not like you can't do that.

Hey there! Yeah, time would definitely be an issue for you guys living in Asia :P
It would totally be an amazing experience since I know plenty of people involved in the local media who are also videogame fans, plenty of them are actually going to E3 this year. Definitely a nice opportunity to watch the event with some friends in the big screen. Still, I'm planning to do something similar at my friend's building since they can accommodate their small projection room, kind of like a smaller theater, so there's that.

It's cool that they're doing this again. Shame it's still only limited to the U.S. though. I'd like to be in front of a big screen when The Last Guardian is re-introduced to the world.
