PlayStation E3 Experience 2015 Announced (Theaters)

To most of these insiders here, you guys are doing a great job of making me feel the conference itself will be shit.....

Looks like I'm gonna be seeing rage rather than joy from the crowd this time around at the theaters.

Look at me, was an optimist, and now I'm cynical...
Hope Microsoft kicks them in the butt if Sony doesn't bring the megatons or whatever.

Yeah, I was at the Montreal theater as well. The stream was fine the whole way through, and the crowd was good, too. It was a pleasant experience, overall.

Same here. The stream was fine for me and the crowd actually added quite a bit to the experience. Even for games that I otherwise didn't care for (MKX), I got sucked up into the hype with all the cheering, clapping and screams.

"Naughty Dog" right before UC4 kicked in absolutely murdered our theater. Shit was amazing.

Just go in expecting a solid show with some good games?

I went last year, it was fun albeit a bit long. The freebies were a poster and a card that eventually redeemed for I think $10 PSN credit. And a lanyard I guess? Not bad, but probably a lot easier just watching at home.

Nice! Went to last year's and it was ok, the stream stuttered a lot. Guess I should try to do a GAF meetup at my theater or something.

once we got the Scarecrow tease which had the same corruption and stuttering as the Grim Fandango segment i was so sure that the issues were a sneak peak at that

Oh. This is happening again?
I enjoyed it in San Diego last year. Was lucky to get in after missing out on the ticket reservation.

Doesn't seem like I'll have much like due to my work schedule.

Well, see, imagine Microsoft was hosting it. There! Does it suddenly sound fun for you?

Which insiders?, i haven't read any... what did they say?

Silly question, first time actually going to E-3. Are the Sony and Microsoft conferences broadcast through out the convention center if you don't have tickets to the actual presser?
The press conferences typically all happen before the actual convention.

That just means people are stupid.

XB1 doesn't have a superior FP output. It's easy to start a narrative and make it believable though. I mean damn we just had Bloodborne released and The Order the month before. XB1 hasn't had a big FP game come out all year so far. But it doesn't matter anyway since it's off season.

Oh yeah, don't get me wrong, I think it's a ridiculous narrative, but it's a narrative, and it's one that Sony are losing control of. They need to go aggressive and ' this is what we have for you to play now, and this is what's coming soon '. Talk about 'all' the games and move away from 'first party exclusives are everything.'

They need to talk about the broader catalogue and change the conversation.

Thinking back on Sony's conference last year, that would of been pretty boring in a theatre.
It was actually really fun, aside from a few times when the signal cut out for just a second - a LOUD and surround sound second of NOISE - and of course, the awkwardly orchestrated Powers segment. The Arkham Knight gameplay, Mortal Kombat X reveal, and the even just the Naughty Dog logo before the Uncharted 4 reveal was enough to send us all into cheering.

The energy was that good, and people seemed to be having fun cracking jokes at strange stuff like the Powers segment lagging. Was at the San Francisco Metreon theater.

they haven't said anything about TLG, Crash, Agent or Half Life 3 so that should pretty much tell you about the quality of the conference.

Its not that. The vibe I get from what venderus and thuway are telling me they're gonna screw this up. I hope not.

Last year we all thought "damn they probably have something really big to show if they are opening Theatres for it" but it wasn't the case so I'm not gonna build high hopes for this year.

Actually, it was Street Fighter V, but it got leaked a day early. Hopefully nothing else gets leaked this time.

I might have missed it, but what are you referring to?

Street Fighter V was leaked ahead of the PS Experience in December but this is about E3. They had a bunch of stuff that got the crowd going (Uncharted 4 teaser, Grim Fandango, InFamous First Light) but no megaton announcement on the level of SF V.

What about Bloodborne? That got leaked early too.

Bloodborne would've been the megaton of the show had Project Beast not leaked.

PS4 predictions are boring, so this is what I'm expecting for Vita (outside of the expected mountain of Indie titles):

- 64GB memory card official release outside of Japan

- Third Party Production's newest "Building the List" efforts will be FF Type-0 for Vita (a properly localized up-rez of the PSP version rather than a down-port of the console HD remaster), iOS ports of X-COM and Bioshock, and a port of the 2.5D Assassin's Creed game set in China; this is the last time Vita will be featured in any of Sony's conferences

- Gravity Rush 2 no longer a Vita title, with development moved entirely to PS4

Went last year to the Atlanta area showing. It was fun. It was also my birthday, so it gave me something to do. I'll definitely be going back this year
