If you thought the demo was 'crazy good' then i guess you've played online which my copy doesn't allow yet because there is no server up in the uk. I say go for it if you liked the online demo as i can only comment on single player which has been very good.
but $80 is crazy, do they not go down in price later on?

Absolutely I think it's nice to read all kinds of opinions because unfortunately, money is a very scarce thing to me lately and I have to decide carefully wich games should I buy and what to skip. But yeah $80 is absolutely ridiculous and unfortunately, this prize is now the standard for all videogames in here and since Nintendo games never tend to go down in prize, it will take months to found the game at a decent price... Let's see what happens. Maybe I go digital since the full game is less than 2gb!

Love the song. Question for those that know if anyone. Is Splatoon really going to be $60 in the U.S.? I mean everywhere else its budget priced between 30-40 eur or so. Could it be possible the U.S. Price is just a placeholder for now or is that too much to hope for?

Nah, it's pre-orderable on the eshop for 60. NoA making us pay that premium.

It's releasing in a matter of days. The price is locked in for $60. It's not going to change between now and Friday.

It's the other way around: full price game in America & Japan, and a budget price game only in some European countries. I don't know about Australia/NZ.

Now I know the pain you guys felt/are still feeling after playing a testfire. The feeling of wanting to play nothing but Splatoon.

This past weekend was my first time trying the testfire and it blew me away. Gameplay is straight up fun. 1 hour was such a tease.

I talked about this earlier but the roller will be my main weapon. I'll be helping my team as much as possible and avoiding battles unless I can get the drop on someone (or if a teammate needs help). That seems like the best playstyle for the roller and for myself in this type of game. Being sneaky and flowing through the map, unseen.

I do need to work on my ink management. I was careless and just kept painting, not paying attention to the meter.

I'm also looking forward to the paintbrush. You move quicker with that, right?

I should be streaming Splatoon every night after release for those interested.

Looking forward to playing in some GAF rooms!

It definitely is that kind of game where you just want more. And that's not even considering the fact that there are so many clothing accessories and different combinations of weapons to try out. Oh god I'm gonna be customizing my inkling so much lol

For myself, I think I may stick with a charger or one of the regular shooters. I don't think I have the patience for rollers and I like engaging the enemy and covering my team.

In Australia it's the full $79 which is standard for Wii U but there's always deals at launch and a few stores have it for $59. Regular launch discounted price is typically around $68 for Wii U games.

yeah it's pretty annoying actually but it's whatever. I'm not going to not get this when it comes out. if my wallet could properly speak it'd say "hey this is kind of fucked but yall nailed the gameplay so ehh."
 
Splatloon GAF is best GAF. I'm glad the avaterrorizing is spreading!

I wish there were custom lobby groups for this game like in Mario Kart. It would make GAF splatting so much easier
 
That roller video posted earlier was incredible. The guy didn't even use the running roll that much and instead was super stealthy. Damn cool.

I wonder if somebody could Splat my avatar. I have zero photoshop skills.
 
Alright fine, I'm in on the avatar hype train. Splatting the doorman didn't look like it would work out very well, so we get Rhythm Heaven quizman instead. Bring on Friday!

So the Super Sea Snail can be gotten outside of Splatfests, but it costs a lot, which is fair. And you can see that lvl20 is the max. I wonder if they will consider increasing the max level through updates.
