GAME UK: Truck carrying Splatoon limited editions stolen.

People are blaming Nintendo for making amiibo in the first place, for amiibo being limited, for there not being more limited editions made to fulfill preorders already ready to reship, for content even being tied to amiibo?

So a lorry being stolen full of limited editions in route to GAME is still Nintendo's fault?

I discovered this when someone on my timeline tweeted that their preorder got cancelled due to a stolen lorry and I couldn't stop laughing about it. Amazing.

The Crew 2008, its actually a decent movie if you like low budget UK gangster flicks.

Lorry robberies are quite common here in the UK but as they are "boring" crimes they don't make the papers much.

With the Amiibo in it I'm not sure if they are the smartest or the dumbest?

Game is cheap so better steal PS4 games buuuut Amiibos are rare even on first day of sale but if they have this much Squid Amiibos in their possession they may sell them for 4 or 5 times the price :p

Or we could just say there is no reason to include Nintendo in the topic. They're making the limited edition products that were in the truck that's all I can see. They didn't make it tempting for stealers and they won't gain more money over this.

I didn't know the squid amiibo unlocked a rhythm minigame, the jumping one of the test fire was fun. Upgrading my anger from miffed to livid.

Maybe you can find the game on other sites? Still available on Amazon.fr if international order is ok for you.
Or, maybe it's still available in big retailers. Maybe try some Tesco or equivalent, here they always have stock on launch day and classical "hardcore" gamers don't go there to buy games on day 1.
 
This happened with the release of Modern Warfare 3, but it didnt affect stock levels so much as each store got around about 300 copies of the damn thing.

This was before they went into administration, of course.

When it happens, you always end up knowing a guy who knows a guy who has a few of them and is selling them for a fraction of the price because he has no clue about the real value of the game.

Oh sorry, i should of been more clear, sorry.
I got the special edition from amazon(for cheap)but the boy and girl squid were expensive.

I wouldn't put the blame on Nintendo at all - but, you can't deny that the hype surrounding Amiibos had something to do with it. Something which I still cannot understand.

To be honest the only folks that should be affected are those that dont check their emails. I got the email, cancelled my preorder and managed to preorder from Amazon instead. Price is the same.

Coaches have space underneath for luggage, and usually a toilet at the back. Buses don't.

Also, how the hell do you steal a lorry and then get away with it without being seen when lorries are fucking big and there are cameras on half the roads in Britain? And then how do you hide it?

To be fair, all the criticisms are legit. Like, if Amiibo weren't limited there'd be much less of a black market and as a result there'd be less incentive to knock off an entire lorry of the things.
 
In the chance that any of you boys and girls won't be getting your Splatoon Amiibo, I can try to work something out and send over one of mine from the triple pack that I'll be getting this Friday.
