Please tell me that those black bars aren't there when playing the game?
they arent. i think thats just because i took those shots during the pre-level flyover. maybe something to do with the tv safe area. i'll play around with it some more.
I loved Beach Buggy Blitz. I had no idea they made a kart racer out of it. How is it?

its pretty good for a budget game ($8). visuals are kinda nice in the early ps2 sense. kart handling is decent, power ups are your standard fare. theres an upgrade system to bring karts up to new horsepower classes which bar or grant entry into higher level circuits.

6 player splitscreen as well so i imagine you can have some decent fun with this if youve got the controllers

One day Nintendo will finally use AA in a game.

One day.

Not hating. Just think it's holding back their otherwise great art

Yeah, every time I see a screenshot like that I look into using Durante's PtBi, but the required capture cards are so expensive and complicated to set up that I soon give up.

Even with decent anti aliasing... Splatoon is just too gameplay focused (like most N games are), but this more than any others has function at the front of everything.

So it ends up looking too basic in lighting, textures and effects. And this is when put in comparison to other Wii U Nintendo games.
Lol. That's the dumbest thing I've heard about a video game. There's too much gameplay!
Is too bad you were so occupied with been defensive and didn't understand the comment in the first place. To spoon feed you a bit of it:

No, is not inherently "bad" to have a game focused on game mechanics and system first. However, not all games are designed like that. XD

I wish you could turn off the visor HUD in ODST, it's atrocious, especially in splitscreen.
No option to turn off the visor. Doesn't bother me that much tbh.

ODST is a very "moody" game, so the color palette and tones are darker. It works very well to distinguish it from the other Halo games.
Yep, primarily a Halo game, but the studio said it is deeply noir inspired. I love the track Rain from the CGI trailer.
