Yeah. When I first saw the box I tried to get a look around the back but it was impossible so I assumed that they just didn't texture it, that it was just transparent from that side because they made it that you can't see it at all. Then I did the out of bounds glitch and saw the back and was so happy they did that.

Pretty sure we did on that match, but they never stopped moving, jumping or diving into ink. There was no areas safe enough to snipe them because the roller has a larger range and is easier to hit with than the charger. They killed the chargers before they could get a shot in.

Use a special, or throw a grenade, or snipe them, or use a roller yourself, or just ignore them and paint somewhere else.

Shit charger then tbh. Homing grenade (seeker?) would also work.
 
You know, I haven't given the charger another chance since the testfire since my aim was so awful. I'm going to try it out for the rest of the day and see if I can get better.

Theres fake and theres nintendo fake...
This should have unlocked over the weekend or yesterday, nintendo is clearly doing their best to stretch this game out as long as possible.
I'm betting no new maps until after e3.

Charger is great on every map except Urchin Underpass. Even then it's fine, but you have to be more active since the sniping spots are pretty vulnerable.

I just got it the moment I picked it up. Without motion controls it just can't be done.

Indeed. It's EXCELLENT in that map. There has been so many matches I have dominated single-handedly the whole middle section. You just have to be active like you said.

A singleplayer Mirror's Edge like DLC pack would be amazing. Haven't finished the campaign yet so I don't know how intense the levels get towards the end, but a DLC pack of levels just focused on pushing the mechanics to the limit and giving players a big challenge would be amazing. Possibly with added time-trials leaderboards or some such.

For multi, if the game can sell alright I expect Nintendo to keep supporting it with DLC. It's going to already have a nice amount of content by August though.
 
Okay, I've come to the conclusion that the Jet Squelcher and Custom Jet Squelcher are terrible. If you aren't at least 3-shotting enemies, you may as well not shoot at all. They can easily escape cause of the lousy fire rate.

Though I'm not using abilities that may help it, so maybe the abilities can save it.
 
I think DLC should only be limited to accessories, not weapons or modes. Maybe maps would be understandable (less so than MK) but that doesn't really play well with the map rotation system.

Yeah I get why they're waiting this long but its kind of a joke that the game only launched with one game mode since its taking so long for ranked to unlock. Probably not good for first impressions of the game. I really hope they start releasing new maps before E3. If its towards the end of the month that would be ridiculous.

What's the benefit of them stretching out the game for that long? This isn't a subscription based game.

There are three payout points. Each of the large flags on the rankings. Judd will pay you the total unclaimed amount of them and remembers your highest one for the rotation. So if you get to+5 and fall to +2 you'll still get the bonus for being in the +5 bracket.

The payouts are something like 100, 400 and 1000.

That is provided you don't miss the map rotation.

If every day you can buy around 4 gears per shop (normally you have two that you already bought), you need at least 23 days to unlock everything, playing around 1-2 hours per day to get the money to buy all the new stuff of each day :O

In that case you should always order
T-shirts
from Spyke due to there being way more of them. I know an extra one per day is not much and it means it will take a while in any case.

Also go to pick up your order from Spyke after buying today's selection. I believe if you already own something something he will sell a random item you don't have.

If that existed, I'd expect the option to be present-but-disabled on the mode select screen right now, like how the 'join friend' option for Turf War is a separate choice.

My favorite thing about that stage is sprinkler placement -- there are lights at the top of the middle of the stage that you can throw the sprinkler onto that only chargers can really hit. So good.
 
My Wii U is telling me that between 5 p.m.Friday and midnight last night, I played..ahem...32 hours.

Think I overdid it a little.My wrists are sore and I keep imagining cross hairs with paint flying through them.

Spraying ink on walls doesn't count, and neither does inking areas that are already inked in your colour! You'll see your points accumulate in the top right as you ink.

Pretty much. For the skatepark in particular you can inkstrike the tower and climb up one of the walls (not the slope) in the chaos to force the roller off. Could probably also use a rocket launcher from an opposite platform too, or Bubbler, or Kraken form. Honestly holding that ground as long as possible is the key to winning there so I'm pretty used to having to force awkward players off.

The ink tank filling up thing is arbitrary and totally BS. They're waiting for a good moment to have a big press release and launch the new ranked mode. It didn't matter how many people got to level 10 over the weekend, they were 100% going to wait until this afternoon or tomorrow to launch the new mode and get buzz.

Fact.
 
Just saw one of the best tactics so far, someone attached a sprinkler to the underside of the moving platform on Saltspray rig (the crane one) and it was inking the entire area by itself
 
I finished all the amiibo challeneges yesterday. The last boss with the roller is ridiculous, but I'm glad I'm finally done with story mode content.

Adds +1 on win, and subtracts 0.5 / 1.0 / 1.5 (depending on flag size) on loss. When you feel your streak is high enough, you can talk to Judd the cat in town and he'll give you a gold bonus depending on how high your streak is.

Although your number can raise above 9.0, the reward caps at 1,400 gold which isn't worth it considering you get ~1k per round anyway.

My highest was 21.5 when I was streaming on release day. Still 1,400. :<
So don't bother.

To add on to this, a charger can charge their shot by the time you kill them.
