Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I had my first victory by .1 today. Felt good. Pretty sure I was the reason for victory since I got a clutch kill in the last five seconds and sprayed away.

Also what's the points at the bottom of the splat percentage after a match? Is that the team average? And for the +300p victory, is that added to the results screen or only for when you level up?

The name of the weapon will be added June 2 at 11 am the "N-ZAP85". US Nintendo was imitating the "NES Zapper," which was launched in 1985, power is it's low, but blazing fast shooter. Sub "Splash Bomb", Special's "super-sensor".

Where's my dedicated "Booyah!" button? Did Nintendo omit "Booyah!" from the European version? 'Cause "Nice!" simply ain't cutting it. We're not cultured enough to not want to "Booyah!" in people's faces.
When I do "booyah", do europeans see "nice" on their screen? In other words, does jt always show the local text instead of what I see? I assume so.

Looks like the Zapper comes out with the new map also

"The rapid-fire N-ZAP ’85 weapon is available from tomorrow morning plus you can get your tentacles on a brand new stage called Port Mackerel!
AND Ranked Battle opens tomorrow morning in the UK! That was fast…"

Theres fake and theres nintendo fake...
This should have unlocked over the weekend or yesterday, nintendo is clearly doing their best to stretch this game out as long as possible.
I'm betting no new maps until after e3.

Your bet was wrong. The next map comes tomorrow.

Rapidfire and echolocator? Well hello there.

I've made a Splatoon equipment inventory spreadsheet!

Click here, then click File -> "Make a Copy" if you have access to Google Drive, or "Download As" to get it in other formats.

Besides being useful as a personal inventory and checklist to fill in gear you own vs. gear you've seen, it's helpful to keep a list of what you have because Spyke will happily order gear for you that you already own, if you don't pay attention to what you're ordering.

Here's what it looks like in use:

This seems like it will be useful, thanks.

You should add the White Headband, Basic Tee, and Cream Basics as the default one cause you have them from the start.

Have they said anything about more amiibo on the way? All the stores around me were sold out but I really want to play the challenge modes. I am NOT paying a scalper $60 though.

I'm not sure what you are going on with reviews. It got good reviews.
Nor do I understand what you mean by not an F2P game. Nintendo's bigger IPs are typically NOT front loaded. Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, etc sell more after the fact.
Also you need to consider the used games market, which is especially huge in Japan. People will trade in their games after they get bored, then new players will just buy used copies instead of new copies. Having free DLC or other bonuses after release is a common practice to keep people from selling their game right away.

F2P as in it's much easier for anyone to pick up any point in time.

Anyway, this discussion definitely needs more facts to back it up. You say used game sales is a big deal but without numbers this isn't meaningful to talk about.

Plus the original point was that there's no point for Nintendo to pepper content that long across months and we're getting new maps tomorrow already.

N-Zap looks like it has a crazy compressed spread. This should be a good one for accuracy. Not a bad loadout as well.

Also Port Mackerel looks like Splatoon's equivalent of Block Fortress. Time to pay attention to those high grounds and low grounds.

New map already? Thank god. Five was not enough, especially with the bullshit 4 hour rotation.

Glad the new mode is coming too.

Exactly... Why do you think that is?
Do you think that it just so happened that they finished the new map, and the new gun, at the exact same time enough players hit level 10 for them to unlock the ranked mode...?
OR
Do you think that, perhaps, they have a release schedule in mind to release content to keep people playing/talking?

As it's already been stated in other replies, Nintendo's biggest titles are typically not front loaded, and do most of their sales after release. So yea, keeping the community active and engaged can be important to that.

You guys think the average hotel WiFi can hang for online play? I'm out of town like 8 days the next two weeks and I'd really like to splat.
