I just unlocked the Splatterscope, seems like a really great weapon. Can't wait to try it out later.

Maybe you're just too good. Speaking of, my LAN adapter should be here in a day or two. Hope it helps with the lag I sometimes experience. My wifi has to go through some walls.

played through the first two single player areas! this game rocks

Splat Zones is pretty fun, and I saw some interesting strategies.

The problem is that a lot of those strategies would work better with voice chat. The penalty for losing control of the zone and having the other team claim it is steep, so there's opportunity for a valid strategy that involves building up specials as a team before rushing the zone. Without voice chat, the immediate blitz seems like the way to go.

Antennae seem pretty weak in Turf Wars, but they're beastly on Saltspray Rig in Splat Zones. The team in control can effectively build a nest on the high ground and let one or two members become free-roaming assassins.

I'd like to try a ranked Turf Wars to see how matches change when there's no incentive to get greedy and control more of the map than you have to.

Really not enjoying ranked battles. I figured I'd be decent enough, but my scores are terribly low right now and I'm not seeing how to improve them. I'd like to blame it on the other players I'm getting matched with but they appear to do better than me, so yeah, destroyed my confidence a bit there. :l

Haha I guess so! I do want to! I do just fine when it comes to turf wars but to be fair those can be easy as hell at times so I do want to know how I'd do when I'm mostly matched with skilled players.

But to be honest I really don't do well with online games hence my reluctance but Splatoon had been working out just fine until now. It's silly I know. >.<

Also I'm pretty busy right now so that probably doesn't help.

I love putting the sprinkler on the moving vehicles on Port Mackerel, then squidding there with Ninja Squid and aiming down the three lanes with my Kelp Splat Charger. It's a really useful strategy

This is the first online shooter that I actually enjoyed, I unlocked the tanked battle mode but am not sure it's for me if it's like team death match shit from other shooters.
