Anyone who wants to guide me through the basics? It says abilities up and stuff. What does this mean? What are the abilities and how do I check them?
One last thought from getting dominated on the new map. That map needs at least one aggressive charger on the team or you're never going to make it out of your spawn. My .96 gal was ok, but the charger makes roads every shot where I need a couple seconds to do that for one direction. You end up getting clowned on super quick after the first initial contact decides who keeps painting where.

On your gamepad hit gear and go to ability guide to see the icons and what they do.

Only done a few battles, but it seems imbalanced as hell. Some stuff just makes it too easy to decap the point for basically free.
Thanks! I am just so impatient. I have very limited gaming time, so when I can I just jump into a game and often don't bother with checking everything. When I get a new game, especially when it's a new IP, this is bad
Badly needs better comms and the ability to team-up. Far more noticeable in Splat Zones than in Turf War.

Urchin underpass has two splatzones, it is so much better!
I don't have to feel bad for finding enjoyment out of splatting people. Intense and pretty fun.
They do this for several of the levels. Arrowana Mall isn't a good level for multiple zones, nor is Walleye Warehouse. The narrow straight shot means everyone gravitates to a deadlock. Something like Saltspray would probably have more zones due to the increase in size.
This would make it unbalanced since you could be in a team with 3 of your homies facing 4 randoms who are not in sync with eachother.
And I know people would also complain when they are on their own in Splatzones facing 4 Japanese Elite Yakuza Generals with 3 randoms.

Yeah but they fucked it up since you have to take control of them both in order to gain points. I want 3 zones and each gives you points individually; so that it becomes impossible to gain full map control. Just full on chaotic arcade gameplay.

I think once your are a sufficient level (I'd like to say about 10) stores have three 1*, two 2* and one 3* per day.
With Spyke you are paying a lot more because of the comeback ability being earned, that is why I prefer it when he can't quite find it.
So before I slept last night, I booted it back up and joined Ranked using a Gold Dynamo Roller (hello Inkstrike) and generally got the most kills. I wonder if one of the other rollers are better.
Saw a varied amount of weapons, particularly long-ranged shooters.
That session was more fun than my first and had more closer games (always a KO though).

My FL is empty, so my first Gaffer could be neat to join when i'm on.
It does give you EXP...when you don't get Knocked Out.
