Hidetaka Miyazaki is again heading the team.
Thats all I need to hear. Still seems a bit early to announce and I would of liked a new setting like cyberpunk.

if it's ready to be announced at this point.
Said it a million times, will say it again: Nihei inspired Cyberpunk Soulsborne game.
Do it, Miya-chan.
I'll be on board with Dark Souls 3 if Miyazaki is directing. But I'd still be a bit hesitant since Dark Souls 2 pretty strongly convinced me that the Dark Souls world had been tapped out.
It would make the new ending that they patched in very irrelevant if the next Dark Souls isn't a sequel to it that finally finishes the series properly.
Maybe Miyazaki isn't directing Bloodborne DLC after all?
Dragon's Dogma expansion was by a different director than the vanilla game, and it was awesome.
I doubt this is true. But ideally I'd like a Demon's Souls 2.
The new endingpretty much closes the story IMO so I dunno how they'll continue with the curse.
I would much rather see him do this than a sequel to Bloodborne. As much as I enjoyed Bloodborne it's really lacking in variety compared to Souls. I never even finished a NG+ run because I got bored of the weapons.

Microsoft, you know what to do!
People keep saying this, and I just don't understand it.
What does "ready to be announced" even mean in the context of video games and E3 announcements that routinely fluctuate between full CGI trailer, to titlecard, to a logo splatered with like 20 other games in one big list, to a gameplay trailer, to being casually mentioned in an interview, to all of the above.
The game could have literally started production yesterday and they could announce it at e3. There's no such thing as "ready to be announced" in this industry.

Or make BB2 with more variety?
i don't get it?
Why does Capcom have anything to do with From?
Not for me. It seems to imply that there is a way to break from the curse and to become immortal. What you do with that power is to be determined in the next game I'm assuming. If there isn't a sequel, that new ending isn't much different than beating Nashandra and sitting on the throne.
I'd be on board too, but I kinda feel like the Dark Souls 2 world isn't proper Dark Souls, and this will be the true Dark Souls sequel. There's still a LOT of potential there.
Dark Souls 2 just constantly feels "off" to me. It doesn't even feel like I'm in the same world.
Are some of you really surprised that From Software, of all studios, are milking the Souls formula? Really???
- Kings Field (1994, 1995, 1996, 2001)
- Another Century Episode (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011)
- Armored Core (15 games between 1996 - 2013)
And some of you say that Level-5 burns series to the ground LOL
Time to pay for timed exclusive holiday because From don't want to compete with BB. Oh wait...

+1Thats all I need to hear.
I'd hate to see them go back to simple weapons with tiny movesets. More weapons is fine by me, but variety isn't the problem, Bloodborne has as much weapon variety as the other games, but less weapons overall, in exchange for a moveset that is up to three times as deep as any weapon in the previous games.

Its a fair trade! Sony get Bloodborne, MS get Dark Souls!
Microsoft, you know what to do!
So he literally directed two different games at once with completely different art direction/lore/story/combat and enemies?
Miyazaki's a genius but I'm not buying that at all.
