Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

I'm finding the Aerospray works great in Turf Wars for painting shit up whilst the Splattershot Pro is rad taking squids out in Ranked.

also, this is the Game of the Forever. I love it so.

I don't know how others are affected by this game, but it's an emotional maelstrom for me. I'll find myself swearing aloud, etc., when normally I'm a coolheaded and gentle person who doesn't take issue with anyone. And it's not like I -really- take issue with anyone here, I just shoot off my mouth in the heat of the moment when I notice half of the map is covered in enemy ink. I could be just as much to blame, but in that moment I start calling my teammates "shitheads," haha. I don't mean it... It's just a coping mechanism.

So yeah... It's probably for the best there's no voice chat.

Also, all of this underscores the brilliance of the three-minute length. Any shorter and there would be fewer comebacks. Any longer and the stress would be too much, so that a loss would be incredibly demoralizing. As it stands, three minutes is just right, enough so that the sting of a loss doesn't last too long.

Two communication errors in a row after never getting them since launch, what the fuck
I had one night, a few nights ago, where I kept getting comm errors for like an hour or so. But haven't had any since. Nothing changed on my end, so I guess the system just has hiccups sometimes for some users.

probably, I haven't unlocked it yet.

Is the Aerospray RG much different from the MG or just different loadouts?
Just the loadouts I think. The stats for the main weapons should be the same, in regards to range, damage and firing rate. The loadouts enable fairly different strategies though.

Japanese Kraken users are the worst to play against. Oh look, they started flashing, maybe I should start running, NOPE, they already turned kraken and splatted you a second ago on their screen so now I just explode nowhere near him. GG.

I've seen some that are fine and others that splat me before they get close, their paint still 10 feet away. Or the Kraken hitting from a mile away.

Yeah. One time in Turf War I used the bubbler (it literally showed me using it) but I was still killed by the Kraken and my special meter reset to full right before I respawned.

Had that happened to me.
Also once I was firing on the roller user, I was like 1 meter in front of him and rolled on me somehow.

Goddamn the gold dynamo roller is just insane. The range and spread is crazy. I have absolutely no idea how to counter it when dealing with someone who is decent.

Earlier today I played for over two hours with urchin underpass and some other map, and I only got to play Urchin Underpass. That was quite repetitive.

Really tired of double splats or being killed ~5 seconds after I kill someone. It couldn't be my internet since it doesn't happen against everyone/in every match, right? ._.

*shrug* I've never had any of these problems people are complaining about. The closest was when the game lagged for like 2 seconds and a couple people disced. Other than that I've never had to deal with warping players, or dying after I killed anyone etc.

Just played it for the first time. I thought I'd get used to the controls, but they're pretty awful. Turn speed is too slow and I keep pointing in the wrong direction with motion controls. What is everyone using for setting?

Playing with the default controls and doing just fine. Using the tilt to fine-tune aim on-the-spot, or quickly just splatter paint everywhere is super easy.

man, splat zones on port mackerel is awesome
Yes, it is. The difference between splat zones in mackerel and saltspray is like night and day.

>_> This deeply worries me. If by any reason I can't solve this problem and I can't play Splatoon, I guess I am definitely done with competitive online games :/

Went to Target and had a choice between a Silver Mario and an Inkl-

Well, *koff*... that happened.

Any tips to the blaster? I'm tired of sniping and machine gunning, trying something new, and the blaster seems to be quite good in other people's hands.

Almost all my port mackerel splat zones games are constant back and forths. I've only had total dominations like once or twice on that map.
There's only been one domination so far, but it is not fun at all regardless. It's more frustrating cause there's no way to communicate properly with team mates and it being such a long map that it is hard to even get to the splat zones. I'm at A- rank, if that helps give some perspective.

I thought Port Mackeral was already okay at best, but now I think it is worst map. Will probably never play Ranked if that map is on. At least for Splat Zones.

Just be able to aim around them. That's it. That's all it takes to be good with the Blaster.

Yeah, delays are rare here too (happened like twice at most) and double splats against JP people are the norm. What was worrying me is double splats against non-JP players.

...but I just got to know my dad was streaming shit on my mom's notebook, so that must be why the game was messed up.

I like Splat Zone and it click with my style/weapon. I have clearly more #1 in Splat Zone than in Turf War. I'm only C and at 10 pts of the C+. It's intense though and really frustrating when the team work isn't there. August can't come soon enough for match pro. In this mode my prefered stage is the new/last one.

As for double splats it depends on how quickly it happened. There have been times I have been splatted but ink had just left my gun/roller so it went and splatted the other dude/gal. So it's not always because of lag.

Lost four rankeds in a row because of other people disconnecting. I was 10 points away from B+, now back to 50 points.

E: make that five!

E2: Started the match with three players, SMH. Normal turf wars is too easy, gaf turf is non-rewarding, but right now I'm yelling all the bad words I know.
