Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

I wish the colour palette didn't look so much like Bloodborne's. Dark Souls had amazing art direction, give me more of that.

2016? So soon?
But Miyazaki recently finish Bloodborne. Maybe that means that this is not directed by him just produce like ds2 or that he is very good at managing projects.

If that's the case and it's the DS2 team developing then I'm very impressed with their work. Because these screens scream Miyazaki to me.

Maybe it's some sort of DS1 remake/reimagining?

Just trying to make sense out of the new bosses and enemies thing.

DS1 Remastered lol

Bloodborne had like... what? 17 bosses?

15 new bosses, plus reused bosses from past games, seems reasonable, especially if the bosses are going to transform.

I don't understand this sentiment at all.Do people enjoy waiting for Vaporware like TLG and VersusXIII and Silent Hills ?

FROM has shown that they're more than capable of putting out the best games in the industry in a timely fashion,we should embrace that. Not wish for these games to take 6 years to come out.

Anyway, nothing lasts forever and there will come a time when we look back in disbelief at this golden age ,all while bitching and moaning about a hypothetical future FROM that's a managerial mess.

Just like people mock modern SE's incompetence and constantly compare the current FF output to PSX~early PS2's era almost annual FF output.

As much as I adore From Software it's pretty clear that their games need more development time. Demon's/Dark/Blood all have very similar formula and I can easily see myself and many others burning out on annual releases. Do you thing the only two options are release all the time or release never at all?

Don't you think that if From spread their ideas over a longer period of time than that hypothetical future From Software might not be the mess you predict it to be?

It looks great.... and legitimate.

Bloodborne is a masterpiece but I'm much more interested in an eventual Bloodborne expansion and sequel. But great for Dark Souls fans.

Ugh, so many games being announced and it's a shame I have to prioritise because of time and money. Otherwise I'd be all over this and Dark Souls 2.

For some reason, something feels a little 'off' about this...

It looks really similar to DS2, could it be more DLC for Scholar of the First Sin?

It looks way different IMO. Seems to run on Bloodborne's engine.

On the other side, I'm not burned on the formula yet. And a lot of people aren't. So if they keep producing these quality games fast, better for me.
Those that are burned can just wait a price drop and buy it later, or skip it alltogether.

Why bother calling this a leak. Clearly a marketing exercise as Bloodborne generated a huge amount of excitement with the supposed leak in 2014.

Looks awesome though.

Seriously, its less than half of what Souls 2 had. I want these screenshot to be real, but I am not excited if there's really a significantly smaller number of bosses in this game in comparison to the last.

Some people can count the number of interesting bosses in DS2 on one hand. They big four ones could need some improvement if you ask me, more quality please.

How many souls games are there already? 5 with this one? Starts to feel like CoD, Assassins Creed and NFL

Why do people keep suggesting it doesn't make sense to show this stuff if Bloodborne DLC is coming? That's by far the BEST time to do it. It won't be out for a year, so in anticipation more are likely to purchase BB DLC. This has happened forever. It's like saying Bethesda shouldn't unveil Skyrim because they're busy selling New Vegas DLC.

Also, there hasn't been a single PC Dark Souls game that released same day as console versions. I'm guessing this is the negotiation aspect of PC version. I mean, it's much harder to port from 360/PS3 to PC than it is to do PS4/XONE to PC because of the x86 architecture. But they did and for likely less money than they would receive today. There's just no logical reason they wouldn't release it for PC, if they were willing to do it when it was more difficult for less money.
Did the same console team do the PC ports?

You should go look at some DS2 screenshots if you think this looks similar. Not just in terms of fidelity but art style.

Come on, man. SotFS was a game + DLC remaster package. Dark Souls II is done. This is Dark Souls III.

Take your time. Don't rush the delicate balancing. Don't overlook a bad system.

Besides, too many are acting like they're burning out on the playing of the games and just wanna jet to endgame ASAP from talk I'm heraing....

I not so sure about the sacrifice mechanic. I played DS2 after Blooborne and it was great getting back to the straightforward symbol-summon system after the bell system.

If IF this is real, I hope the "sacrifice" means kill an NPC and it uses DeS and DS1's PwP systems otherwise. "A contract sealed in BLOOD" sorta thing for that kind of power.

all those images... I need this. NOW.
I know right? If it's fake, From please hire those faker artists 'cause their game looks bloody amazing. I really want to play that game.

i am interested and this
I totally read this as...

xD

seems real, but how can Hidetaka Miyazaki be involved in this as a director?
He's the president of From Software. He can direct whatever he likes!

30 fps would be just cruel, after this 60 fps SOTFS goodness on both consoles...
SotFS has far simpler geometry and assets since it was a last-gen port. These screens are closer to Bloodborne in terms of fidelity and assets, and BB runs at 30 FPS. So keep your expectations in check. If you're desperate for 60 FPS, there's always PC...

Is that pic for real? Seems like a trailer for a new expansion of some sort if the text there is in the video.

I think this is might be The Know not knowing how the english language works. Then again I couldn't make it that far into the video, so maybe the elaborate on it. All in all the lower thirds seem to be confusing everyone.

Not really getting the Bloodborne vibes others are getting. Looks like a Souls game to me, just with better graphics and more detail.

There's too many screenshots for me to think it's fake, but I've been fooled before. :/

I've never played, and probably never will play, Bloodborne, so I'm more than OK with more Dark Souls...

... on PC. Not this crap again, Namco Bandai.

Hmm interesting. Wonder if you'll be able to essentially make your own bonfires by using a special sword, or some bonfires can only be lit by defeating a particular enemy.

Wait a second wasn't that the original plan for Dark Souls 1? Where you had to place your bonfires, at least in early versions from what I heard.

Also, a Souls game in 2016 wouldn't be annualized. If it's late 2016 it's 2.5 years in fact.

I really wouldn't worry. If they're negotiating anything, it's just the when, not the if.

I disagree. Bloodborne is pretty much a "souls" game except in name with DLC still on the way.

At this point, we are running close to an annualized series. Not that I don't want more souls, but i'd rather have them take their time rather than just churning out games just to please the fans yelling "PRAISE THE SUN". A sequel for the first dark souls already seemed odd considering the original themes. Another one ?...meh.
