Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

蚀 is a new significant item in Dark Souls III. Just remember that.
Dat Berserk influence =D

They are going to be focusing on Demons this time right? Eleum Loyce hinted that they are still a very dangerous threat lurking in
The Old Chaos

I still need to play the DLC, only did the regular content!

Definitely purchase and play them. Suken King has probably the best area layout in the entire series, and Iron King has one of the most memorable bosses.

I really wonder why most of FROMs best content is in the DLC.

Google Translate says this means "Eclipse".

Go on...

Its happening.

Man, I'm hyped. Bloodborne was my first Miyazaki experience and I freakin' loved it, currently my GOTY. I still need to play Demon's Souls, Dark Souls and Dark Souls II.

I mean, of course it wasn't, unless FROM is horribly mismanaged. Team change according to the needs of the project, with designers in particular often moving between projects mid-development due to their services no longer being needed full-time on the current one.

The idea of having a specific and unchanging "team" is ridiculous unless you want to have them make exactly the same game, down to the last line of code, every time. Otherwise you're going to have instances where you need to bring in more (or fewer) people in certain specialties to better handle the specific challenges of development that arise during a given title.

It's comparable to having the exact same cast and crew for every movie. Of course you hope the writer, director, and major actors will reprise their roles for the sequel, but are you going to demand they have the same filming crew when (for example) they're planning entirely different types of stunts and locational shooting in the sequel that weren't in the original? Of course not.

Are you trying to say that any development team which uses the same people for more than one project would design the exact same thing again? How ridiculous.

Probably because they realised the base game was poorly done and decided to actually pay attention to the layout of levels when designing the DLC.

Look more closely. Its the same boss, it transformed

Holy shit. It's the same god damn room!? If all 15 bosses do crazy shit like that I'm game.

Edit: Interesting to note is that the door in the background is open when the boss is in human form and closed when in that weird rat-tree form. I wonder what that's all about though, did his humanity run wild!?
So much speculation :O

So did Dark Souls 1 have poor layout then? Most of the DLC was better than the main game of that as well.

hgggggnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

You're in for a treat, my friend.

You can also see the spear and legs, it's not just the room used as base for this, it's definitely the same boss.

Shit reappeared from DS1 to DS2, why is it bad if it comes back for DS3? Don't you guys want your Moonlight Great Swords, Zweihanders, Black Knight Halberds, etc?

For Miyazaki directing both games, it doesn't seem unreasonable to think that he spent most of 2013 writing the story and designing the levels for Bloodborne and then did the same for DS3 in 2014. After that part is set he might hand things over to a more technical co-director while signing off on the milestones.

For people who don't know, this is what you get when an Eclipse happens in Berserk

The hype rn, Nnnnnnnnggggg

Makes sense within the context of the Dark Souls universe as well, since humanity mutates when surrounded by the Dark. I guess this third game is gonna focus on the Dark and the Abyss? That melting sun shot is very Chaos'y though. God I can't wait for all the pre-release speculation :D

I want muh Bone Fist.

I want new stuff too.

For example: I want to be a dragon man wearing dragon armor this time. Next level shit.

Dragon Souls 3

Are you trying to say that any development team which uses the same people for more than one project would design the exact same thing again? How ridiculous.

No, I'm saying that the needs of a project will not be exactly the same unless the project itself is exactly the same. Even if you're making a sequel that changes very little, working on the exact same architecture and using the exact same engine, if even just the scope of the game has changed then you most likely want to add some more programmer and artists to the project.

If you actually are substantially changing the project, you're going to want subject-matter experts on the new engine features (for example, if you're dumping Havok physics and handling more of your physics engine in-house), subject-matter experts on the new hardware/architecture (if you're moving, for example, from a PS3-centric build to a PC-first build), subject-matter experts on new graphical technologies made possible in the interim between releases, etc. These people often are not going to be the same people who worked on the previous game, just like a cameraman who specializes in filming car chases is likely not going to be the same guy who's an expert in landscape shots.

The needs of a project change, and the team changes to meet those needs. This isn't complicated, and it isn't always indicative of bad blood or "cheapness" or anything like that. That's just how games are made in studios that have more than a single development team under their roof.

Oh, for Juniper's sake! I can't wait for the trailer TT_TT

Wasn't the game reworked with major changes to story, characters and gameplay? Portions outsourced etc. The troubled development is probably why the maps feel small, fragmented and illogical.

those are just weapons. i can't think of a single enemy from 2 i want to fight again. old and busted slayer sucked and i don't need gargoyles 3.0.

Do you have a link to this interview? It should be an interesting read.

I don't understand this sentiment at all.Do people enjoy waiting for Vaporware like TLG and VersusXIII and Silent Hills ?

FROM has shown that they're more than capable of putting out the best games in the industry in a timely fashion,we should embrace that. Not wish for these games to take 6 years to come out.

Anyway, nothing lasts forever and there will come a time when we look back in disbelief at this golden age ,all while bitching and moaning about a hypothetical future FROM that's a managerial mess.

Just like people mock modern SE's incompetence and constantly compare the current FF output to PSX~early PS2's era almost annual FF output.

Preach it Brother. They can annualize this shit tomorrow and make PS4 and XBONE exclusive in odd years. I will buy EVERY SINGLE GAME FROM FROM.
