Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Omg the brush is both hilarious and terrifying when someone is attacking you with it.

E: meh not as funny as it seemed

Looks like the first Splatfest will be in June 13th: https://twitter.com/SplatoonJP/status/607004099972722688

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think they are region dependent. June 13th for Japan, June 20th for the Americas and a bit later for Europe I think.

why are people already using the brush in ranked

you don't even know what it does

Haha, oh god, really?

One thing I really like about the inkbrush though is that's a trigger finger weapon. First one in this game so far, unless I'm mistaken.

The Inkbrush is a neat weapon and the speed is pretty cool, but it is way way way too weak. Aside from moving around quickly, I see no benefits from using it at the moment.

Well...this is different. Will change the game a lot if people get skilled at it.

"Splat. Splat Has Changed."

But I thought "Splat never changes"

Its very very fast so there has to be some sort of higher skill ceiling to it

Could this be the Scout of this game? A lot of people using it for mobility but very few properly using it (well, as much as a loadout can be compared to a class)

So do you see it, as an actual legitimate weapon people will use once the fun/insane aspect wears off?

I think so but it's going to be heavily situational. It can contribute just as much though but I don't know how it's going to fare when there's more guns around. Presumably there will be guns on the same team though.

Is totakeke here? and timestasis?

I feel like the best use for brush is to run through enemy lines distrupting their paths and making them waste time/ink recovering your little trails so they can swim through them

I didn't use the inkbrush but based on your impressions I guess it's different strokes for different
squids
folks

Thank you I'll be here all night

I like the brush a lot, but using it kills my finger with how your coverage is directly related to how much you mash the button.

I absolutely adore how the paint mechanic makes guns actually feel so mechanically different in this game.

Just this paint brush Aline has cemented to me that this game is absolutely Nintendo's newest classic.

Play some single player first to get used to the controls :D

I ended up jumping into multiplayer first haha. I tend to be pretty good at competitive shooters or team based objective games like controlling maps.

Suffice to say this game kicks ass. I turned off the motion controls and for my first few maps just focused on spraying the map and controlling turf and focusing on kills less. I've been getting my aim down but so far I've only used the first weapon they give you.

I remember reading it in OT1 but someone said something along the lines of "This game feels so EAD".... and it does. Just a polished, fresh and unique game on my favorite genre, competitive shooters.

I'm getting gud.

NNID: Kastrioti

I'll be playing on and off tonight and have all of tomorrow night put aside to play the game.

Good point. Since this is a new weapon, everyone wants to use it right now. So we won't know for a week or two how it actually fairs against other main weapons.

It just sounds like such a bizarre weapon! Lol

Cant wait for brush vs brush for the rest of the night! Seems kinda underpowered to me so far. I'm gonna stick with it for a few more games.

I just don't understand the Inkbrush. It's supposed to be 100% support? Like, I see other players coming and I just run away? That's what it felt like.
