Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Ok so why is this weapon weak? I feel like it's sword swipes should be really good close range but they just aren't.
 
I just beat the final boss.

That was intense! I only had one life left on the final phase. I was afraid I was going to have to do the whole thing over again! Which would've sucked, because it was a long boss fight!

Support and stealth. I imagine it's very satisfying to sneak up on an enemy sniper and mash R2 as hard as you can.

Its main use will be drawing penises in the enemy base during the last thirty seconds of turf wars.
 
I kind of like the inkbrush -- using the sprinkler in key areas and rapidly pressing the fire button can lead to large paths rather quickly. I was able to splat a few people, but it is definitely not recommended. Only thing is that my finger got tired from pressing it so fast--I guess I am out of shape from holding it down with all the other weapons!

You can do that with the roller though
And spread ink better
And kill faster
 
I think the ink brush is meant to be more of a Splat Zones weapon. You're meant to use the sprinkler and ink strike to control the zones while using the brush to quickly ink a path for your slower but stronger teammates to use to get around and also evade and sneak behind for stealth kills.

To make good use of it it needs custom team building.
 
I'm finding the brush awesome right now since people don't know how to deal with it. Takes 4 swipes to kill if you're right next to someone, and 4 swipes goes fast. Ninja near them, or use the insane running speed to flank and swipe away. Great fun, went 10-1 900+ points on my best round so far.

I'll probably go back to my kelp charger, but it's a nice change of pace for now.
 
Yay, max level, campaign finished with all secrets found. All I have to do now is collect gear and get my rank up. Wouldn't feel horrible to get some rerolls in as well.


Such a great game. So happy my boyfriend got it for us. :)
 
inkbrush is so shit, but so fun to use

nothing but satisfaction when you get close up and start spazzing with the inkbrush getting the kill

But I didn't instantly dominate everyone with it, so it's clearly garbage!

The brush is really good for coverage. I'm getting some of my highest base scores ever with it. Just, my finger really can't take it for long...
 
Killing someone with ink brush is like - killing someone with two hits of a knife in CS.
Not going to win you any turf wars thought,the Brush might be needed for some other modes.
 
Love the duels when it comes down to who's paintbrush randomly hits the other.

Not win turf? The amount of area you can ink is amazing, maybe better than aerospray..

Extremely fast and wide range paint splatters + sprinkler + inkstrike. It's like the ultimate "I'm going to just ink up the place" weapon.
 
Just got back with dinner, I jumped into a couple matches just to test it out. This thing is insane! It's bizarre, hilarious, and im so confused what its purpose is. I'm only using it on turf, there is no way in hell I would use this in Rank. Combat with this this thing is er....

I don't even know what to think. I want to know what the purpose is for this weapon. Like what they were thinking from a design persepective.

I agree it's damn hilarious. But yeah...I def don't like this weapon on a serious level. Maybe it will grow on me?

Bummed to see the brush isn't the harbinger of the apocalypse that I was hoping it would be. Won't be able to try it until tomorrow probably, but still mildly looking forward to it I suppose. Swords ARE pretty rad, after all.
 
Wish Nintendo would put out more of those videos where the devs try out the weapons. Having new videos as new weapons are released would be great.
