Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

So I know this is blasphemy, but does anyone else listen to their own music when playing?

I adore the music in Splatoon, but I play Splatoon like 15 hours straight sometimes (I know, scary addiction). And the same songs over and over can kind of burn into my brain.

Also gah, I just got into a match with all paint brush on my team, we just got wiped. One of the worst match's I've ever seen. This is why I hope they patch the ability to change weapons at some point (between match's). That way we can see what people on our team already have weapon wise, and re-adjust. Although matches start so quickly, maybe that would be impossible to do.

I must be imagining things, but the spread of inkstrike is bigger than I remember. It feels like it fills up an area better than before.

Still can't get it to work without getting disconnected every match. Yesterday I got to level 6 just fine over a few hours, but now it's completely rubbish.

I kinda want my money back, as I've tried everything to fix the problem. My last ditch effort is ordering a USB Ethernet connector.

Try setting your router to DMZ mode with the the Wii U, if you can. Or just update the firmware. Mine was a bit shaky a few days before launch but after making those changes I haven't gotten disconnected once. I don't know if it it's just a placebo or if what I did actually worked, but so far so good. *knock on wood*

Oh Miiverse, never change <3

I feel bad playing randoms in turf wars. A few days ago it was okay, but now I get matched with lower levels in every game.

About to hop on and down to play with you guys :)

Somewhat relatedly, I've done a few of the Amiibo challenges. Do you ever get 3 star gear? So far I've only gotten 2 star stuff.

I swear that it's random. Sometimes it seems to be a huge hit and other times it's practically tiny. Maybe if the area you're hitting has an effect on it?

Edit: Or maybe it's the skill that makes specials last longer? I didn't even think of that.

How do you live? I feel if you play Spaltoon that much, your gonna to burn out well before the DLC (not free updates) become available.

It's a multiplayer game, it's not dependent on how much content there are.

Then there's people who talk about if they play the game for even 6 hours they'll burn out of the game. :P

I exaggerated a bit. I only played that intense the day after it came out. I do play it all day, but I take breaks in between (to leave the house, and go do things). But I do play this all day in sporadic periods (especially since games are so quick).

I think Splatoon's gameplay is so intense/fun, it's kind of like this experience each time, regardless of the map I play on. It's weird, but I don't feel Splatoon relies on content as much as other games (because of the gameplay is so unique and fun). If that were the case, I would def get burnt out on the lack of maps. In the past, I would get burned out on games like Titanfall and other games that had "small amount" of content at launch. Splatoon has even less content then that game (well, Splatoon had a singleplayer, but I mean map wise), and I still haven't gotten burnt out.

I can't predict the future though, it's possible I will start to get tired of the game. But I really do think they nailed this game in terms of the gameplay, and how unique it all is.

Maybe. I never thought it'd work that way, but I'll test it later to see if it's like that.

port is such utter SHIT in ranked how fucking HIGH do you have to be to think that's acceptable splat zone placement

people just fucking rushing towards the enemy zone one by one, 24/7, first team to get wiped loses even if the enemy only gets a single point because no two zones will ever be taken again

almost mall tier in its idiocy, which makes playing ranked pretty damn tough with only four other maps on two rotation slots
It's my favourite splat zone map, sorry.

I've changed every setting I can think of. The game is still telling me I don't have an internet connection randomly or giving me a communications error.

It can't be on my end if the testfire worked fine and every other online game I've ever played has worked fine as well, can it?

Call Nintendo support. They have helped other people with your issue already.

Holy shit what a push. Timeaisis MVP

Oh poor bitstyle. Whole team disconnected and he had a brush to fend all 4 of us.

No mercy though!

Why would a Charger actively face a Roller head on...
They don't even try to stay on the high ground.

I do that all the time and most often it's an easy kill

I've come to my personal conclusion that the brush is worse than the roller or aerospray at any range (and those weapons outrange it), and I really wanted to like

DJ Octavio was actually a lot easier with Roller than Charger.
The individual battle (minus the restarting of levels with Charger) took longer, but I was rarely in danger of dying.
