I've never understood why people care so much about crowds in racers. I would remove every single human character from them if I could, save for drivers.
It makes a lot of sense for FH2 to have crowds as you're driving around during a massive music festival. It would be a bit weird if it was completely empty and would somewhat ruin the atmosphere. For a circuit racer like Forza Motorsport or Gran Turismo I think crowds are unimportant. In the case of FM5 leaving the crowds out entirely probably would have been better in the long run.

Does Turn10 work closely with Playground Games on non-Horizon games as well? I really hope some of this talent from Horizon 2 artists trickled down into Motorsport 6. I can't wait to see sunsets in that game.
Just abit of PR hype i suppose. Probably means you don't wanna drive in a puddle, like real life. Since it'd mess with your drive handling or cause you to skid and loose grip. The 3D is just a buzz word. HaHa! Crazy PR.
Rain and night races are way more than you expected? I mean, don't get me wrong; I'm happy to see these confirmed, but they were pretty much to be expected.

IIRC, last year while they were promoting Horizon 2, they mentioned that they have a shared source repository, so all the work from both developers is shared with the other.

Its largely accepted that environmental details are nonessential to racing games as you don't observe them in a high enough capacity when speeding around the tracks, however, some developers over-compromise and cut corners in a way that makes it stand out. At worst it can spoil the suspension of disbelief and can really detract from replays and photo mode.
Eh, as far as I know racing games with weather so far just used textures and shaders on flat geometry to create puddles and not actually modeled 3D puddles.

Not after watching Project CARS do it all with an unstable frame-rate and screen tearing all over the place on Xbone. That humbled my expectations on what we would see in Forza 6.
You are now my favourite person. I really loved this game when it came out and this intro got me super hyped for it's release. Also, dat Prodigy track!

I dont give a shit for rain or night, but 450 cars and 26 locations, coupled with their newer engine is something I did not expect.
car count
practically means that with its dlc, forza 6 will have more than 500 cars.
then the multiplayer apparently also gets a significant jump to 24.
track count
you got RIO resurrected from Forza 1, and coupling this with Turn10's 10th anniversary, makes me wonder if Rio is the only comeback, or maybe we get also back something like Tokyo, which is of course a "famous location"
If they keep all forza 5 tracks (dunno about top gear track after the fuss over there, dont care much about airport track), then with the two tracks declared (Rio, Daytona) location count goes to 19.
so that is SEVEN more locations we dont know about (and that is in the case that neither topgear, airport, alps or any other track leaves the game)

I'll take forza 4 visuals at 1080p 60 if it means huge races, night and day lighting and weather... and the return of multiple light sources and shadows from forza 1.
