Nintendo should do a lot with it's properties and doesn't. Heck, it can't even make enough product for it's fan (amiibos).
True. It seems .52 Gal Deco doesn't seem to cut it in B Tiers if you've been using it exclusively.. I see everyone using it or Splattershot Pros. Chargers are a constant threat though.
Worst I had was I killed some regular splattershot player and after he disappeared his gun laid on the ground and kept shooting me, looked so stupid.
I was using the last one for the kraken (the one before the final boss). Remember to take the detour, there are some balloons there. And there are some balloons just on top of the end that you cant get with a bomb.
They seem to be trying much harder though between the whole Universal Studios deal, their mobile plans and Amiibo for as much of a "find the hay in the needlestack" that getting some of them can be.
Would totally want some boss animation studios both in the east and west to get some new TV series going. Splatoon anime by the dudes that did Nichijou, Kirby series from the guys doing Gravity Falls/Star Versus The Forces of Evil,
Takmaru/Mysterious Murasame Castle by Gennedy Tartovsky

True, but there's no supply and demand issue with a TV show.
That, and the potential for merchandising this series offers is unreal. I'd readily buy real versions of like half of the clothes/accessories available in-game for my kids. Nintendo could leave the amiibos for the rabid fans while also raking in cash from a clothing/accessory brand that appeals to girls and boys alike (already an accomplishment in and of itself).

Hit level 18 earlier. Still mostly just playing Turf War and having a blast. I usually suck at competitive MP, but I'm top on my team (if not the whole lobby) 90%+ of the time lately.
Also started up the Amiibo challenges. Doing the girl first and just finished the first tier. First boss was a bit of a pain with the charger.

20 maps at launch for Halo 5 and 15 more (free) by June 2016. Kind of puts into perspective how little content there is in splatoon compared to other games with similar prices lol

I somehow doubt the Splatoon development team (and budget) are anywhere close to the size of Halo 5's team and budget though.

I do get the content complaints, but I actually kind of like it. In games like Halo and CoD I never really learn maps as I just can't play enough to keep up with them. Having a smaller number and releasing new ones one at a time works great for my play style/time. And it shows as I'm coming in first a ton when I'm usually toward the bottom of the pack in other online shooters.

Yeah, I caught on to this a few days ago. At the very least it helps you plan for ranked better.

Team Fortress 2 had 6 maps at launch.

After the shit show of Halo:MCC, they really have no choice.
But Halo is Halo, played it all before and Splatoon is something entirely new and refreshing.
I have never once said, this game is getting boring. Not to say more maps and modes aren't welcomed but the gameplay trumps having more maps for me at this point.

I am the harbinger of death in Arowana Mall splat zones. I just rush middle and camp out in the back out of the splat zone on top of the ramp. I use a .96 Gal, so I can take out chargers and anyone using the side flank to get on top of the raised platform at the side of the splat zone, and then anyone rushing is at a disadvantage with ink coverage.
32 maps at launch for Mario Kart 8 yet I'd say Splatoon had the better launch. The amount of content doesn't matter much if the core gameplay isn't as good.
Halo 5 will be great and offer great value, but so far it shows nothing that excites me on the gameplay side. If it didn't have 20 maps at launch it would have nothing to boast (except ADS which most Halo fans don't want in Halo anyways).
I have not played Halo 5 (beta or at an event) so I can't say for sure though, maybe it does actually introduce new game mechanics we've never seen before, like Splatoon did.

Just got to A+ with 99 points, I had 90 points then won a match and got to 98, then in the next round my team pulls out a clutch overtime victory in urchin underpass, my least favorite map, it was an amazing match 3 bubblers on my team including myself and we just kept using it one after the other and the opposing team couldn't do anything

Except in this case the fun with colored fluids is there right in the first game, not the sequel.

One of my friends of 20+ years tried using this the other day while we were playing Splatoon. Usually a very on-point dude with gaming discussions, but whenever it comes to Nintendo the fanboyism is obvious.

How about this: there are good games that launch with a lot of maps and there are good games that launch with fewer maps. Halo 5 is a good game, TF2 is a good game, Splatoon is a good game. No fanboyism involved at any point or needed.

Splatoon is the perfect game to keep me occupied til October, thankfully.
Discussion of Nintendo fanboys, my favorite Splatoon topic. There's no doubt the game has less content than others in it's genre, but I've already put in 59 hours so I don't feel particularly short changed in the play value department.
Anyways, Imma try and fail a lot at getting back to B rank with my Splattershot Pro. I think I may have to switch to roller or something eventually to make up for my mediocre aiming skills.

Yeah I feel you. I'm not in the A ranks, but I went on a 20 loss spree. Never had one of those ever yet I wasn't upset. Defeated, but not upset.
I can definitely see places where I can improve - basically needing to get off relying on the .52/Seeker/Inkstrike and focus more on being a better player.
