The Guardian: The Last Guardian will be at E3

Just watched the original trailer again

Honestly I always thought this would turn out like Kirby: Return to Dreamland for the Wii. The development hell of that game was amazing to watch. Then it randomly appeared at E3 being released next year.
 
This is real, Shu denied the cancellation of TLG the minute that story went up a few years back, and he and SONY in general are too quite now, the stars are aligning...
 
So this explains why there are so many trumpet sounds around the world. It signifies the prophesied event that will happen at E3. The Last Guardian will rise from the ashes and there will be large booming sound from the sky - a sign that the game would be revealed in its eternal righteousness. All ye of little faith, renounce thy sins and open up to the glory that is The Last Guardian. The signs are upon us. Life has given thine lemons and thine lemons made The Last Guardian!

So any new evidence since the initial article? I haven't kept up. The one that I have to again states that they also hope to see Zelda U at e3 even after a confirmation from Nintendo that it won't be there.

Why the hype? All evidence supports that the source is not reputable. I want tlg too but i dont see why this rumor holds any more weight than the myriad incorrect ones that came before it.
 
It's gonna look way different I bet. If the wait from announcement to release is more than a year than I will choke a kitten.

German playstation facebook posting that poll and the Cerny link are the latest fuel for the fire

Aren't these people working for Sony Japan ? People get dispatched from a project to another. They may have worked on TLG then something else and now back on TLG. Or not. Who knows, who cares ?

And I don't see how having worked on Knack implies that they're not competent enough for TLG

Is this true? Well then, my bad. I guess I didnt even consider the possibility that the same team could be behind a masterpiece like SotC and what by all accounts was a terribly mediocre game.

of course. I make websites. Granted its not the same. Some turn out amazingly well some are real turds. Its normally management and the wrong vision which creates the turds. The code behind is always quality

studio japan isn't just one team with the same people working in different projects. not everyone who worked on sotc worked on knack or vice versa. this is how we get some bullshit narrative of "lol knack tlg preorder cancelled". there are overlaps between different projects. maybe this person worked on rain but not on puppeteer, etc.

I did not play it because it got bad reviews and looked mediocre. I did play Ico and Shadow of the Colossus because they looked unique and interesting and got good reviews - and both of those were good (and SotC was amazing). My intention is not to bad mouth anybody, but come on, a good pedigree (which Team ICO has) make people optimistic - and that also goes the other way around.

Right. But from all accounts, the management and the vision is changed in this case though with Ueda leaving. Although I guess that was called for considering the game never came out.

So basically like EAD works. I was always under the impression that Team ICO was a dedicated team, but guess I was wrong. Thanks for the info!
 
There aren't people on GAF right now that truly believe it's still a PS3 game right?

Not only it doesn't make sense from a business point of view, it doesn't make sense from a technical one, either. TLG was struggling with sub-20fps performance on the PS3, and Shu even mentioned that the team working at it was reduced for a time because of "re-engineering".

It's going to be on PS4, guys.

I'm thinking the same, they would shut this down hard lest it effect their conference negatively at the time.

I am dumbfounded that so many people still have the ability to get excited for this and FFXV. More power to you guys, but for me, my limit for anticipation is like 5 years. It just feels like whatever they finally end up with couldn't possibly be what I would have wanted when it was announced.

It's like Pet Semetary, what you put in the ground ain't what comes back out.

and you just look at it from the corner of your eyes at first

that voice in your head is saying "But you waited so long...you might as well"

Then it's all over
 
Although for realsies, my real fear isn't that it's not going to be announced. Either this year or the next, it will eventually be. But yeah, it's the inherent quality of it that is iffy. Who knows how much it changed, how many hands it went through after all these years. And while I like Cerny and Japan studio, Knack felt like a rushed job with little thought in game design. Hoping this will turn out for the better

Kaz Hirai comes in and thanks everyone for coming to another E3 conference and that he's glad to be back. He mentions the konami/Kojima scandal. He tells everyone that he has a surprise for everyone. He leaves the floor, the lights go out and Kojima comes out. He explains that he left konami due to them wanting to make multiplatform games and Kojima only wants to make PS exclusives.
He tells everyone about a game that has been missing for years. A video plays on the screen: "From he creators of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus and MGS.
A Hideo Kojima game. The Last guardian"
The crowed goes wild, gaf servers go down and the Internet goes down. Obama announces that the Internet has gone down due to these news.
As the video is over and a tentative release date of November 2015, the crowed begins to cry.
Kojima chuckles and says it's not over yet and has another game he helped bring back to life in collaboration with naughty dog.
The screens open with "A Hideo Kojima game" and "naughty dog"
A trailer begins with Crash waking up in a tropical jungle. He opens up with the line "kept you waiting huh?"
The trailer is over and a release date of December 2015. The crow begins to applaud so loudly people's ears begin to bleed. Kojima smiles and he says there's more to come.
At this moment, gaf's servers begin to smoke from the heat of the traffic. Obama announces that the Internet will return after E3.
Kaz comes back to stage and announces a $199 ps4 bundle with the Crash Bandicoot remake. The crowed cheers with craze.
Konami's president takes the stage. Apologizes to gamers and Kojima. He announces that silent hills is back and exclusive for the ps4.
At this point, all radio communications are down and president announces state of emergency. Begins to deploy the army at E3 to calm the place. Riots erupt due to not be able to see the rest of Sony's E3.

Ah I give up. That's too much typing lol
