omg loooooool

people say there's lots of smoke but there isn't really much smoke aside from this nonsense distracting us. once you take it away and meh.

Have you not seen all the other teases for it? This article and thread is far from the only one.

Its eltorro's work. Sadly half his stuff has been decommissioned due to pomf going down!

;_; i saw this some minutes before reading your post. The lord of the rings gifs that people were posting reminded me about the gift with "the blood of the ps2 is all but spent"... but i couldn't watch it. It was beautiful.

It's assumed he has a source.

He might have.

All I've done is written what I heard him say on the podcast.

Why did he not mention his source on the podcast?

Mods delete this post.

The guy is killing our vibe.

I'm certainly not trying to put a dampener on anything. A link was posted containing the Keith Stuart who's recent article was the basis for this thread being created.

A link is posted to a podcast with Keith Stuart apparently staking his career on what he mentioned on his article, so I gave it a listen and then was shocked at what I heard. He came across as amateurish if I'm honest. He mentioned his reasons behind why he thinks Last Guardian will be at E3, and his reason boils down to his "feels" when asking Andrew House a question.

I get that some people really want this game, and I think someone should officially update us if it's not announced at E3. But this is NeoGaf where normally people get ripped to shreds if they post a rumour with no substance, but a guy talking about his "internal lie detector" is A-Ok lol

He might have.

All I've done is written what I heaed him say on the podcast.

Why did he not mention his source on the podcast?

He may have just not felt the need to. "We have it on very good authority" was written in the article, and him clarifying with "I'll stake my reputation that it's going to be there" in the podcast might be all he felt he needed to add. We shall find out soon enough.

Maybe Keith Stuart said that to deflect any thoughts about sniffing out his real source. Probably wouldn't be much of a deterrent though. If true they know he got the info somehow.

Him having a source, was based on his original article which implied they did. And given that the Guardian is a reputable news source in general who has in the past not posted rumors based on bad sources (or so I'm told), people actually thought their source had to be legit. The podcast came later. Unless he's now claiming there is no source. Which I don't see anywhere. Him not bringing it up in the Podcast, does not = him changing his position, and saying he doesn't have a source.

That said, I agree that at the end of the day, we are all just going off this + the general timing of it making sense. Outside of that, it's not like there is a ton of different places saying it. Eh.

Wouldn't want anyone sniffing out his real source AKA his ass hole. ;)

If the game doesn't get announced at E3, then I say the game is deader than dead. I want the game to be announced so bad though. I don't even want to play it, just want to experience the hype.

Why did he start saying all that stuff about his feeling and lie detector though.

In my mind he didn't need to add that, he could have just left it at "I'll stake my reputation that it's going to be there".

Anyway we're all going to find out soon. Roll on E3....

I think it goes without saying, but just don't expect it to really be there, and you will be fine. If it is, awesome. Getting hyped with friends is so much fun. But don't have high expectations. I mean shit.

Also I would say at this point, yosp really needs to just jump out ahead of this and cut the rumor down, if it isn't going to be there. They did that last year. And the expectation that it will be there, is bigger than it was last year.

Could be. I don't put a whole lot of stock into any leaks to begin with though.

Bigger on GAF, but how about the rest of the internets?

Wait so there was no source and this whole thing was just speculation?

Oh my hahahahahahahahahahahah wow

There was never a "source". Not sure why people were saying that.

Guardian simply said they had it on "good authority". Soon after the guy that wrote the article explained his reasons why, and it's there for people to listen to. I certainly don't believe "internal lie detector" based on asking Andrew House a question a year ago at E3 is"good authority"

Here is what the guardian actually published

No.

According to his original account, he has a source. Looks like some people are treating him like a "Contributor" at WSJ blog, but that's not the case.

Not sure how things work in the UK for major newspapers, or if The Guardian stakes a lot of "credibility" in their Tech section, but it sounds like he is willing to bet his professional credibility on his source.

Now if he actually didn't have a source and just referenced himself and his own "lie detector", that'd be a bit weird to use the words "on Good authority".

To quote Keith Stuart from 29:27 http://www.theguardian.com/technology/audio/2015/jun/10/games-e3

Is this really what people have been getting excited about?? This guy doesn't sound like he's got a damn clue.

Look at what he's basing his rumour on??? His lie detector?? C'mon man.

I thought this guy had a source lol. He's got nothing.

Then Sony should just come out and say its not happening this year. This rumor has already spread around, and now there is the cerny rumor.

If its not happening they should shut it down, like how Phil Spencer shut down the silent hills rumor.

"Good authority" in journalism is almost always referencing a source

What the fuck I am even reading ?

Why would he out his source ? Let alone on a podcast ?

But this same guy, Keith Stuart explained on a podcast the reasons for his thoughts.

He stated that he would "stake his reputation" then 20 seconds later explains why...

If he had a source why couldn't he just say he had a source, I wouldn't expect him to disclose it obviously, but saying he had a reputable source is better than talking about his "lie detector" from a question he asked Andrew House

I will CLARIFY again. I'm not saying I'd expect him to tell us his source. It's obvious he wouldn't disclose who his source was.

I'm merely saying why didn't he say on the podcast that he had a reputable source, instead of his story about his lie detector.

He made ZERO mention of a source, just his lie detector.

Look at "the know" when they leaked dark souls 3, they said they had a source, why couldn't Keith do the same,

Man, shit like this is why I love E3. I couldn't care less if this game ever comes out, but the hype surrounding whether it will or won't is captivating.
