Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Haha sometimes. Had a few flubs on kelp dome. Apparently, if you don't time the initial throw correctly from spawn, the seeker will explode on the grate, spreading zero ink, and leaving you inkless, needing to reload for the first 6-7 seconds of the match. And of course I did that at least twice. lol. But if you time it right, you can travel all the way to the far ramp on the right path faster than anyone else, and then you're all reloaded and in position ready to kill anyone that comes by. And if nobody does, well then you get free territory.

Seeker is my absolute favorite sub weapon. Movement potential, decent ink spread, positioning, forcing options on the enemy, mindgames (oh god, the mind games), and decent kill potential.

But it also helps that we were on pretty seeker friendly maps, too.

What I can't wrap my head around is the burst bombs. Apparently some people use them well, but I sure can't.

I really want to learn the Seeker, but I like my bombs. Everyone here seems to hate me using them. =P I might go on a Seeker practice run tomorrow. I really like the options it brings.

What are you having trouble with regarding the Burst Bombs? Aim?

He has a soul. Only the pure evil in this world can make people hate burst bombs.
You're way too good with those things

Does anyone know if jintor made that pic or did he steal it from somewhere?

Squid Sisters as Opening, finishing up on that; with intermissions in this 'crayola' style, Credits as Ending and Vs. Mode 2 as alternate opening (with the lyrics someone posted on this thread)

do iiiiiit

Vs Mode 2 would be great opening music for sure.

Mainly it just feels like they do nothing when I throw them out. With the other grenades, I can see the benefit right away. They don't blow up right away, denying your opponent a certain space for a certain amount of time, because they're obviously not going to walk into that space and die. They kill easily if an opponent does happen to wander in. And the suction bombs can be placed in many out of sight areas, leading to a lot of options.

With burst bombs, you throw them out and they explode right away. So I just feel like I don't have the options I would want. But enough people say they're good that obviously there's something there and it's just me.

How do you use them?

EDIT: and of course it also matters that they don't really show up in loadouts I enjoy.

Not sure how much I'll be able to play for a while since my 26 year-old brother has developed a Splatoon addiction and apparently gets to decide who gets to play my game on my Wii U. As is the case since I was little, he's bigger (horizontally, I'm taller these days though not by much) and stronger so he can just use force as needed to get his way. And no, he won't hesitate to use it if he feels it's necessary, and no, nobody believes me when I say this.

At least I'll allegedly get some time tomorrow so I can try out the Kelp Dome. He'll probably be getting drunk 5 feet away though so it won't be the most pleasant experience. *sigh*

Have him buy his own WiiU?

Since I'm a poor aim with the sniper when it comes to short and mid range combat, I've been forced to adapt to both Burst and Splat Bombs. Burst Bombs have the advantage of exploding immediately, and you can launch 4 at any one time. Jumping down from up high and throwing burst bombs for the splat is just so satisfying. Yeah, they're weak, but they consume a tiny amount of ink compared to every other sub weapon. It takes two direct hits to splat and about 3-4 indirect hits to splat. It can be more effective offensively compared to Splat Bombs and Suction Bombs. Have you tied to fight a Blaster with Splat Bombs and a Charger? I haven't, but it probably wouldn't be pretty.

Basically, they're the rapid fire equivalent of bombs. Sorry if my thoughts don't sound coherent right now. I'm trying to practice using the seeker.

Jr isn't very good vs roller aside from the bubble

Neither is aero as blue is discovering

I'm just a noob with it. =P

Oh sweet another stage added? That's a nice surprise to come home to! Are they going to add another map to the rotations? Think 3 would be the sweet spot now.

Or a simpler way of putting it:

With good aim you can splat two opponents at mid-range (w/ Bomb Range Up of course) before you could fully charge up your E-Liter.

Alriiiight let's try this again, this thread moves too fast haha. Got two questions:

1) What the hell dictates the smaller font time being added onto the standard time in Ranked mode? Like, say you're at 1 second left. Once you lose control, all of the sudden you get +50. What's the deal there?

2) Can someone please give me a youtube or any other link to the music that plays after LOSING an online match? That song is so awesome, it's so much better than the win music

The more time you take off from your main time, the bigger the buffer you'll get. In order to avoid this, don't let enemy control the point after you controlled it.

GGs, it's time for me to get off. =P Need to get up early tomorrow (today).

Burst Bombs also work just as well at scaring snipers off of their perch. It's pretty hard to use them, but they make great Inkling softeners. =D

By the way, Red, that one Seeker that chased and splatted you after you splatted me was amazing to watch. =D

You prefer the losers music? But you can't pump your first to the losers music. I love to...I've heard you can pump your fist to the winners music

He's gone insane.

I didn't think that seekr was going to play ring around the rosie

Are the moto boots and red all-stars the only shoes with Ink Resistance? I wish I had more options to combine skills and freshness.
No, there's a green 1* and a red 2*. I don't know if that's all of them either. That's just what I have

Going to end the night on that ugly case of child abuse. Holy moly. I think I've found my new killing ground.

Done for tonight! I didn't really like the Rapid Blaster Deco at first, but I feel like I'm getting the hang of it now. I prefer Burst Bombs over Suction Bombs, but having a damaging sub weapon on a blaster is nice enough, and I can drop Suction Bombs at my feet to make enemies close to me go away.

I'm wondering what abilities would work best with it though. Is there any point in getting Damage Ups? I think I might actually get Sub Weapon Range Ups...

I can't imagine you need sub range up. The suction bomb throws far already and if you need extra range jump.

Edit: I just remembered I have 2 sub range up sub abilities. I would recommend trying for that and getting a different main however it might work for you

Switched back from the .96 gal to the Splattershot Pro. The fire rate helps make up for my lack of accuracy :(. Considering buying the alternate Pro for the point sensor seeing as how the bombs aren't doing me much good.

alright, time to test this new map. Valar morghulis

I'm a bad example because I have a bit of a hard time reacting to enemy fire at the moment due to the lag but I feel chargers can be very decent against blasters in 1v1 situations. Both can one-hit kill if aimed correctly and chargers outrange blasters even with low-charged shots and your fire rate isn't that much worse. You need to use them like a Squiffer in those situations. Bit of a different story of course with the E-Liter

Please explain because while I think I know what you're trying to say I am unable to piece this together in a grammatically sensible way.

i was just cobbling together words since I don't know what they actually say

fuck... just lost a ranked on one point... was partially my fault too, I got splatted in the zone at 1 point...

Silver pls

You wreak shit with the sniper, long or short range. Whenever you're on my team 90% chance of winning, when you're not I hope my rolling skills can somehow flank your team and distract so you have to focus on your base instead of the middle of whatever map we're playing on. Or unleash the Kraken.

Still not sure how I feel on the new map. Need to play some new matches and as I'm about to hit Level 20 I want to try some new weapons other than being roller, but I love being the roller, so we'll see.

But it's not a very roller friendly map because of the wide open areas. I'm just trying to do my job and cover as much of the map as possible and unleashing the Kraken here and there.
