The details on those boots
Yeah its fucking nuts. The in game character's look like they are actual real models made out of something like clay or something idk. It looks CRAZY though

Loving these shots! Artsyle is so much better too!
yes...
Huge leap graphically and it looks very clean and impressive but I still don't like the artstyle. Ryu's arm looks like a doughnut twist. Do we really need to see that level of musculature to believe the guy is strong? Come on now.

You mean looking as ripped as he's always looked?
lol.
I want to borrow these people's copy of SF4.
Impossible since 3D models do not squash and stretch.
I really hope the stun meter is different lengths for different characters . I really like SF for that ...a lot of characters had different stun/heath values . It really makes you think about your character choice before you do some bat shit crazy stuff
I really love how it looks like the characters are clay figures.
I really hope it's Eagle. I would be overjoyed.I would love to see Birdie as the Brit character, but I don't know if he's popular at all.

Well technically if you go back to alpha days he didn't look that ripped.
It looks like a really nice SF4, but it still looks like SF4. Why people are surprised a bunch of (probably) doctored still frames look nicer than how it's looked during all of its playtests is beyond me.

That would be great, but I don't think we'll get both, at least not initially.I wouldn't mind if both Eagle and Birdie return.
Ono, Sakura would look really great in this art style. You understand my meaning?

Of course they can. It just requires higher fidelity to pull off nicely. It's been perfectly doable for a while.

What the hell does fidelity have to do with squash and stretch? Your 3D model can only move on the points of articulation given to it. You can not expand, contract, or transform your 3D model unless you are using animated CG like movies, it's pain staking and never looks as good as hand drawn. Squash and stretch is faked in 3D models by model swapping like Xrd did. When we are talking about controllable 3D game characters it's not possible or worth the CPU and GPU power if it was.

Look about as similar as ST and SF3 to me.
Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, squash and stretch is perfectly possible in 3D models. Jak and Dexter on PS2 used it extensively.
That's fine I guess. But there's a reason people kept complaining about how closely it looked to SF4 when it was initially revealed.

Like, I look at that background and immediately think "It's good that Dimps won't be going hungry any time soon."

I have asolutely no idea why you think scaling or stretching 3D models is "impossible" outside of animated CG movies. Fucking bizarre. What the hell does fidelity have to do with squash and stretch?
