But wai tho?

Seriously, if not for the leak and too much cgi/not enough gameplay, last year's keynote was one of the best from Microsoft of all time. Why go back from that?

Maybe MS wanna go back to spreading their announcements throughout the year rather than blowing their load at E3? Saving the 3 for gamescom was a very good idea.

I wonder how much CGI will be shown this year though.

Still no official word on Destiny The Taken King being at the show.

Just tossing it out there.... what if its at Microsoft and its a mini betraylaton or case of co marketing switcharoo where Sony gets COD and MS gets Destiny this year.

Or ya know...Maybe we get word tomorrow and Activision wants to break the official reveal before the weekend to be the last out the door before E3 starts for reals.

The contract is at least until Fall 2015, as far as we know.

Seems unlikely.

I guess I didn't realize that Drawn to Death was a free-to-play title. Interestingly enough, that means that of the 4 (!) of the games that Sony San Diego is working on/collaborating on, all except for MLB are free-to-play, with Guns Up!, Killstrain, and Drawn to Death. Is Sony building San Diego Studio to be their hub for free-to-play development?

No, the exclusive content for Destiny 1 is until Fall 2015. As far as I understand, the Destiny/PlayStation co-marketing deal is very long term, possibly for as long as the franchise exists.

Probably not going to happen. And why would he have heard about it now? The Destiny info leaked, it's probably going to be officially announced at Sony's press conference.

Games as a service studio.

Its just that Activation normally like to send out a simple "tune in for the ___ conference for the official reveal" video for these things.

Its kind of strange they are so quiet about both COD and Destiny leading into E3.

Just six days ago there was a Playstation Underground video abou Destiny, so I am pretty sure they still have that deal.

I hope it doesnt spend too much time on the conference

In terms of structure, Microsoft's past two conferences have been ideal. It's a constant flow of information. Trailer into gameplay, into short speech, into announcement. Repeat.

Their 2014 show was great, though I can see how people would be underwhelmed with the content therein. Some sub-par games, and announcements for stuff that we still haven't seen a peek of since. (One of which has apparently undergone a complete overhaul).

If they stick to that format this year, with a lineup that justifies the hype - that's a fantastic conference.

This thread has slowed down lol. Expected though. Tomorrow is Friday and I doubt there will be many if any reveals tomorrow.

Make sense though. Calm before the storm. These next two days will be filled with anticipation until we get our first taste of E3 on Sunday.

The concentrated hype thread is no longer necessary. The hype is everywhere now. E3 is every thread, not just one.

Microsofts e3 last year was better than Sonys.

Ironically Sony spent a lot more time talking about things not related to actual games.

Plus do no one else remember that boring shit we had to sit through just over half way through their conference???

Microsoft were focused on games, games, games at least. Which was a contrast to "TV,TV,TV, sports" in 2013.

This E3 will be interesting for sure. I'm hoping Andrew House threw a curveball with his statement regarding a "sparse lineup"

In pacing only, content highly debatable. Sony had a tonne of games at TGS and gamescom also and MS never.

A lot of time not talking about games??? 1 thing and that was powers, you need to rewatch the conference.

I'm fairly sure the Destiny deal between Activision and Sony was for X amount of years.

Oh yeah I should have clarified, I was talking strictly in terms of the show, or rather pacing as you said.

There were many games in their conference I couldn't care less about.

Also yeah my mistake, it was just after mortal Kombat, when that guy came on stage to talk about powers it literally felt like he was on stage for about 5 hours, he just killed the conference for me.

GTA brought it back to life though.

They've been lying in wait...
You always make me laugh.

You know when you have a heart attack n then you get better the day later, talk to your friends and parents, and are glad you are alive and die? The first heart attack is coming.
I know nothing.
I can see them spending some time on Windows 10 but I doubt it will be 25 minutes. I'm thinking 10 to 15 at the most.
15 minutes on Windows 10, 10 minutes on XBO Virtual Room.

First I was okay when they introduced it. "I like series, I like heroes, I like comics, why not hear them?" I thought, then they showed the trailer... Yeah. It was 5 hours long. I remember.

Last year Microsoft was more like "CG, CG, CG".

Joking aside, their pacing is a lot better than Sony's.

Last year we had tweets from Druckmann (I think) of seeing something mind blowing (order 1886 graphics), this year we don't even have those? no hype building from Sony devs.

Its not an annoying answer its the reality. Just play the game or 3 and you'll see why people are hyped for 5. Plus you'll get to play a fuckin good game so I think that's the definition of a win win.

We don't al have a platform to play it on, and I don't think it's much to ask what is good about the game...

"Hey is Uncharted good?"

"Buy it ;)"

"Do you know if this hotel is good?"

"Just go ;)"
