Namco Bandai is only game distributor, not publisher. But I'd say the risk is not about flopping, but about not delivering what they promised to thet people that paid for it in advance.
 
Does anyone else on PC find the anti-aliasing really poor in this game? They all barely make a difference. I've tried every combination/DSR. Shimmering is notably bad.

I don't think that had anything to do with it did it? Ian Bell posted in their official forums earlier this week that it was in the certification process with Sony and MS and should release sometime next week.

Which totally explains the hold up with the PC patch. Which can be deployed at any time on the PC since there isn't any certification process for steam.
 
awesome. I have a thrustmaster tx set up, but its not always ideal to pull it out and set it up to play, especially if i only have time for a few laps. hope there is a significant improvement with the pad, excited to check it out this aftrnoon. thanks.

anyone with experience with the T300RS or should I wait for the G29 to be out before doing anything?
Also, did anyone find decent settings for the pad on ps4, I put the game down a while ago because I was having a lot of trouble
 
I'm playing this on my mechanical keyboard, I love it :-)

Manual shifting is a matter of tapping q or d really hard, mechanical keys feel so good.

Buy the T300, the G29 is an over priced G27 which is a horrible clunky piece of shit imo. It gave me nothing but grief before I moved on to my fanatec CSR.
 
Finally got around to quickly trying out some of the DLC cars. I really loved how wild the F1 GTR can be and it sounds great too and the Bentley is surprisingly nice to drive too and sounds stunning with it's super throaty growling.

G29's 400€ RRP is a serious kick in the nuts though, I was really hoping to get it, but it's wildly out of my price range at the moment. Might have to just pick a used DFGT in the meantime.
 
Just got into Formula C career.
Used helmet view for it, and I kind of like it. Towards the end of the 2nd lap, you'll see there must have been a collision behind me and there are some free tires in the middle of the track =\
They really need to have something clean that up. Although if it just disappeared I don't know how I'd feel about that.

Amusing to drive a GT3 race at Le Mans with the real weather and current date/time enabled.

Makes it even more irritating there isn't a way to let GT3, LMP2 and LMP1 race together in Quick Race...
 
is it me or AI is breaking really late in this game. Maybe I am too bad at it but I can't break that late.
Also, collision physics is really weird.
 
I've tried the McLaren F1 for the first time since I bought the LE car pack and it's awesome. So much power and it's not totally uncontrollable like I expected. :)
 
No problems for me with the new patch.

I've tried today the Bentley GT3 for the first time and what a beast. Very fun to ride. Will have to check the setup though. I've also tried the F1 Longtail and it reminds me of the Sauber C9. It's very, very twitchy.

Based on these two cars, I'd say Icons is not the right name for the DLC, should have been Untamed.

About the patch itself, I don't find it tthat much differente. Maybe it's just changed the defaults and since I don't run on defaults it doesn't feel thaaaaat different? Anyway, what I felt, I liked. It feels a tiny little more organic and progressive to me. No clipping at all here.
 
I hope they fix the headlights that illuminate the entire cockpit during night thing quickly, doesn't make for a good night driving experience.

They showed a fix that was working quite well some months ago. It looked very good in my eyes. I hope they implement it soon enough.
 
Just finished the Historic UK GT5 invitational championship using the Zakspeed Capri, that was, with 90% AI, hands down, one of the best single player experiences I've ever had in a racing game.

I paid 25€ years ago, then I had to pay 25€ again to get the game. Now - one month after release - it's already 37,50€ in the sale. But I don't even get the damn DLC?
Good way to say "fuck you" to your backers SMS.

I was going to finally get round to buying the game with my discount coupon and because of the sale I can't even buy it. The coupon makes the basket fail every time.

Seriously, you want to stretch those 25€ way further than possible.

You got the game at release and you will receive more than €25 back in 2 months, what is your problem?
