Nitroplus Blasterz coming to North America this winter, thank XSEED

XSEED Games is bringing Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 in North America this winter, the publisher anounced.

The fighting game, developed by Examu, features numerous playable heroines from Nitroplus’ collection of IP, as well as some still unannounced guest fighters “whom Western audiences are sure to find especially enticing” (the press release doesn’t mention Homura from Senran Kagura, so we take it she’s one of them).

Super Sonico will be playable for the first time in the console release. The game sees players select a main character along with two partner characters before heading into battle. It offers “fast and flashy combat,” as well as “easy-to-execute combos, cinematic cut-ins on ‘Lethal Blaze’ attacks that run the gamut from awe-inspiring to adorable, and assist mechanics that allow for up to six onscreen characters at a time.”

The game will also feature an online mode, with full cross-play between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 players.

Cross play is the icing on the cake!
Hope Examu doesn't fuck it up like with AH3LM, when the localized version was incompatible from online play with Japan due to different patch versions.

First Senran Kagura Estival Versus a week ago and now that ... I like you XSEED \o/
Now bring it to Europe in retail.

I'd really like to know how XSEED decide on what games to localise these days. Is it based on what they can get licensed, what titles they think they can get a return on? Or vanity project? Some of their choices, like this one, seem a little bizarre.

another under age pantie quest fighting moe ? welp. Cool for the people into fighting then. I mock the visual but these games (arcana hearts, UNIEL) tend to be super niche but super tight gameplay and balance wise.

Now Tom, there is another game on that twitter hint?

'Fraid we're all out for the moment. There may be more titles to come -- possibly even more titles in 2015! -- but this is our whole E3 lineup, at least. You guys now know the majority of what we're working on for a while.

...And why we've all been so damned tired, too! WHEW!! ;)

Why not announcing this together with the others?

Reveal wasn't ready yet at that point. Remember, the game's not even out in Japan yet, and was only just announced for Japan to boot, so there were a lot of contracts to sign and permissions to receive and such.

Understood, thanks :)

Playing as Saya and Saber will be great! If I have a PS4 by the time it comes out, I'll pick up that version. Otherwise, PS3 for me.

Another Examu fighter is always a good thing. My arcade stick is ready.

I like this "announce before Japanese release" thing. Hopefully we'll see more of them in the future, especially Marvelous games. Net High looks delicious.

This'll save me a couple of import dollars then.

Examu? Arcana Heart's gameplay is so good and has so much depth. How does this hold up compared to AH?

Apples & Oranges to be honest. A more apt comparison would be this to Aquapazza in which this game is a bit better and the arcade roster isn't complete yet.

The game's pretty solid early on with the whole cast and a bevy of assists being used. This game has a while before it'll establish how things will sit when its over.

With all this stuff being a part of the console release is I wonder how this will affect the arcade game?

Right now we have Sonico, Saber & Homura.

Sonico was supposed to be 1 of the final 3 assists in a future update and the console version will make her a playable character. Wonder how that'll work?

There's been no talk about Saber since her announcement so I wonder what happens with that.

Homura gets us one step closer to Life & Hometown: The Fighting Game. This does make question why it wasn't Asuka who you'd think would represent the series or Yumi who seems to be the most popular?

Isn't this releasing in the winter in Japan as well?
Yes, so it's quite possible the releases will be close together.

As for me, well, I only know Homura from SK, Saber from F/SN, Super Sonico because she was in other crossovers, & Saya because the internet's legend of the mindfuckery that Saya no Uta is. On the one hand, props to Xseed for bringing this over considering nobody thought it's get localized because of how obscure the majority of the cast is.

...but that's the thing. I know I should be more tempted by the gameplay (not to mention it's by Examu, the Arcana Heart people), but from a crossover stand, I'd rather get Dengeki Bunko because I know more of the characters or at the very least, the franchises being represented. I'm fine with crossovers having more obscure characters since it lets me discover them, but when they're the majority, I don't know, I'm not as tempted.

Maybe I'll get this down the line when it's on sale &/or I have more funds. I still give props to Xseed for bringing this over, especially with all the other confirmed games.

............so we'll see this at EVO 2016, right?

Is there is an update list of characters on the game with the name of the game they come from ? Or at least a list from the arcade game, I can't find it ...
