I wouldn't be surprised if they get released on sunday, as sukurai said DLC makes more money when you release it all together instead of in pieces. But yeah, i am assuming a pre-order kinda thing will be announced.

Ok, but you can't make ike an unkillable invincible monster in smash, that wouldn't be fair. Something had to give.

Nope. It's easily the worst value for money Nintendo has offered for DLC yet beyond maybe the Fire Emblem Awakening/NSMB2 stuff.
It's just not comparable in value to stuff like the MK8/HW/Mario Golf 3DS/NSLU offerings in terms of value for me, so I'm still ok without it. I don't care what other fighting developers charge, and it's way more expensive than what Nintendo has charged for the other DLC I thought was actually worth buying.

That they aren't even including a discounted season pass like they did for the other titles makes it even more of a rip off.

Even though it was to be expected from a while back, I wish it was officially announced at E3. Regardless very hyped for those 2 additions and quite possibly a Ryu Amiibo should exist in the near future.
 
We honestly dont know if Roy is gonna be cloned upgraded ala Luigi and Falco. So I suggest people be more optimistic about him. I never really used him and im happy!

All the stages and music from SF2 are pretty iconic for anyone that grew up in that era. They just need 3 themes. Ryu, Street Fighter 2 theme remix, and I guess Guile due to popularity.
 
Eh, I'm still sour that Ryu is coming to SSB4, as I'm hate that The Street Fighter series will (once again) steal Mega Man's thunder.

It would be cool if it was actually an assist trophy, I imagine the inkling shooting paint the color of the player who activated it and whoever touch it move slow and the jumps are half the normal height

I disagree. As I said above, I'd prefer it to not have any non-nintendo characters. But in the case of Snake/Sonic/Megaman/pacman, I was slightly more okay with it because they don't come from an insanely popular fighting game franchise.

Having a character from one fighting game put into one that is primarily characters from Nintendo games does not sit well with me at all, really. :/

Who gives a shit? What a pointless thing to care about, you've got your load of Nintendo characters in the game and then some. Ryu's not going to suddenly corrupt the game with his presence for fucks sake.

He also represents not only an incredibly important fighting game series, but one that has also been very important to nintendo. Even the SF4 port to 3DS sold over a million copies.
 
But the question is.. When is Ryu and Roy gonna come out? Did the reddit screenshot on the first message imply they'd come out on the 14th with Lucas?!

They got the 8 second video at the end of classic mode.. They must be almost done, right?
 
i'll only be happy with five FE reps and three marths if we get dixie, k. rool, cranky and the tutorial pig as characters by year's end

They both look great. Really confused if we're getting them next update though going off the wording.

Without the series that Ryu is protagonist of, there'd be no Smash Bros. or any Fighting Game. That alone deserves a spot in the roster even if Nintendo is avoiding Fighting Game characters otherwise.
 
Now that I think about it... it would have been even more awesome to have Chun-Li instead of Ryu. Chun-Li is more iconic IMO.
