Splatoon |OT2| Prepare to Dye

Judging by the Splatfest stuff it might have been a good idea to just globalize them. I fear for the regional Splatfests' sustainability if people can't get into rounds without the Japanese.
 
I only got 2 points left in A rank. I'm going to blame the non-Japanese players for this. Last game I literally didn't see anyone from my team at the Mall zone, and we had no dcs

It's Japanese prime time. Right now it's the middle of the night on west coast USA (why am I up), the crack of dawn on the east coast and mid-morning in Europe. It'll be easier to find a game later today once people are awake and on their WiiUs, especially the kids since it'll be Saturday.

That's what I meant when I said that I sometimes don't pay attention. It was just poor wording on my part. It's actually easier to listen to the pitch of the charging sound and guesstimate it that way for me. WHOOOOoooooooo-Boom! =P The timing might be different due to me using the E-Liter, but it works for me most of the time. Then you get sad because there are those times where you misjudge the OHKO semicharge and they live even though you hit them. =(

Blame EU for having such a low Splatoon fanbase even with the discounts given. Right now it's 3AM-6AM in NA, and I doubt there are that many people playing any game at this time unless it is LoL or CoD big. But they should have just had Splatfest be global for these first 3. (or just group US and EU together or everyone)

Cats vs. Dogs for the US next week and then Rock vs Pop for EU the week after I think? I can see them do EU and US have same events, but the Rice vs Bread for breakfast doesn't really work anywhere else, but they could just remove the breakfast part.

the reason why I stack full Damage Up, because fuck it no one is supposed to survive when I hit them if I have any say in that matter. If I could get 9 Damage Up subs, I totally would, diminishing returns be damned
 
So the friend rooms are only coming in an Aug update? You'd think that'd be included as default.

Makes joining GAF rooms hard this way, as I barely have anyone here added. =/

time limited vote-based fun times. when it begins you declare a side then you fight for your side. Winners get sea snails you can use to reroll gear sub-abilities. Overall side winners get double the sea snails.

Also they win, which will prove important when cats v dogs goes live

I sent out ~40 friend requests when I got the game, played with a number of people from here, then sent and received a couple more requests. Makes finding GAF rooms rather easy, but I'm still missing a bunch of Gaffers that play regularly
 
Not long ago, I had a lot a lag in my game. I ran into the infamous lag Roller.

When I first saw the player, they were standing in place. I thought they dc and went to put them out of their misery. Suddenly, they twitch and I was dead. Again, saw the Roller coming, set my trap, ready my gun, and then suddenly the Roller teleported and killed me. The last encounter, I saw the Roller and shot at them several times. Despite hitting them enough times to kill them, they didn't die and ran me over. Strangely, I was alright. It pass through me. At least, that is what I thought, Seconds laters, I died. I hate that Roller and called it a night after that.

Funny, I didn't start having lag until all the Japanese players left.

1 game away from dropping down to B rank again, i can't take it now. *Goes on break* :T

Seems like i won't touch that for a bit, so hopefully i'll be able to catch some GAF rooms later this afternoon/evening.

  • Good for covering areas in square from. Also good for covering areas in a triangle formation. (For the latter stay on one spot and just change the angle you shoot in.)
  • Good for controlling the middle also known as the key to victory. After taking the area that's furthest away from both spawns my preferred strategy is just trying to keep that. It's easier in some areas than others but good Chargers can do this even alone.
  • The best anti-Charger weapon there is.
  • Remember that the game is not all about covering area. The point system is flawed in this sense. If you kill an enemy player you deny them of 15 seconds~ of potential inking time. That's a lot of turf they're never gaining.

Forgot about SplatFest. No wonder it kept struggling to pull players. It kept putting me with players levels 7-9. There's a certain level most players reach where they'll be adept no matter if they face level 20's. But uh, that's not the case with my opponents or teammates yet. I felt sort of bad. They're not ready yet. But constantly taking out 2-3 opponents side-by-side within 6 seconds still feels pretty good.

I started a second character on another WiiU, after reaching level 20 and B+ on my own WiiU.

Starting at the bottom of Ranked mode again was absolute carnage. I was getting more kills than the other seven players put together, getting 30+ in longer games. It felt like I was cheating. Evened out a bit once I got to B-.
 
I don't understand how it's possible to play against A+ Player while majority of my team is B. This game doesn't want me to progress
