I will never buy an early access game. Ever

I'm not sure but i think Quake is rather unique, in a sense that gothic-horror pseudo-fantasy FPSes are more or less non-existent, Quake aside?

Hexen, WOT, Unreal to an extent. There are a couple that mimic that kind of style. I'm trying to buy the Wolf Pack myself, but I can't seem to finish the transaction. Need somebody to help me out with this.

How's the Evil Within port? I'm reading that a recent patch greatly improved its stability/performance, but do you guys say?

I'm mainly looking at it for the Juli Kidman DLC, so if I buy it, I'm going all in.

No idea, never played em!

Now we need answers!

Mops the floor with the PS4 version if that's what you're asking. I'm running 60fps on a 980 with various FOV fixes and what not. You can get rid of the black bars too. Definitely worth it.

Thought about CS:GO for a second and then remembered that I'm just not that into FPS...

...first person melee, on the other hand, sounds like funzies. Think I may have to bite on Chivalry. Cost aside, is the expansion worth getting?

Zeno Clash has my favorite first person melee. there's a sequel as well

$2.49 for Chivalry is like deal of the century. That game is so much fun.

Cool. Thanks for the endorsement. I hate to repeat my question, but would you recommend the Deadliest Warrior expansion as well?

EDIT: And thanks to the poster above for the recommendation. I've been out of PC gaming for a long time so I've missed a lot of what's probably considered essential.

No. Just get the base game, and rock the hell outta it. More people play the vanilla experience, as it's more fleshed out and (arguably) more fun.

Think today is the first day I'll completely pass on stuff. The Evil Within is the one I'm interested in, but I'm trying to keep to a budget, so I'm going to hold off and pick it up if it appears on the Encore and I have enough cash in my steam wallet. The Pre Sequel is also tempting, but honestly I haven't even made it through BL2, so I want to challenge myself to play through 2 completely before jumping on TPS.

Edit: Cities is too rich for my blood for now. I'm sure it's a great game, but I will wait for a bigger discount.

Ended up buying Half Life anthology... TFC will never get any playtime probably (does it even have players left?).

Oh, yes, Hexen... Though it is more of a pure fantasy game, no? (Honestly, i don't really know beyond some superficial knowledge, like it running on Doom engine.)

What's WOT? That Wheel of Time shooter? (I do not understand how, why, the series was turned into a FPS.)

I'm thinking of buying Battlefield Bad Company 2, but are there still enough people/servers playing it online? According to its Community page there are 623 people playing it right now, which seems kinda low...

Honestly, I played a lot more of "vanilla" and the normal servers are constantly busy, so I don't think it's really needed, especially if you aren't sure you'll like the game or not. Worst-case, you can grab it next sale.

Is prison architect any good? How close is it to release status?

It's more than a full game now. It's not like a lot of EA games where it has some target date and is barely a beta. It's like Minecraft and Kerbal where they've had the base there for quite some time and could release it in full any day they want really.

Please tell me that's not the sale price for drea mfall I'm almost positive it was already 50% since the sale started. Also pls put entire franchise for 75% off

Barely an hour in and my game is already at level 850+. Yeah...there's definitely nothing fucky going on in here. I don't even get a chance at clicking bosses. Everything gets insta-nuked.

It definitely wasn't 50% off when the sale started. I agree that it sucks that the rest of the franchise isn't discounted as well though, it's keeping me from pulling the trigger on these games.

Dammit, still no Revelations 2?

Have so much of an urge to play it this weekend that I might just buy it as-is. Or use this 30% code on GMG.
