Steam Summer Sale 2015 thread of refunding everything you buy (June 11-21)

Regarding minimum system requirements I have a question maybe someone can help me out with. Let's say I meet the requirements I can definetely run a game but it says for OS requirements Windows 7+. As a Vista user am I shit out of luck? Will it just not run? I know Vista is ancient and I dont blame devs for abandoning it but it has served me well for a long time. Thankfully the refund system takes the risk out of such things for the most part but I thought I asked because I don't want to buy a game then immediately ask for a refund.

I'm not really into zombie games, but I'm really tempted to get that State of Decay remaster.
Is the game single player focused or more multiplayer-ish like Left4Dead or even H1Z1?

Apparently I wasn't paying attention, because I'm confused by the "New Deals Every 12 Hours | New deals in 29:23:33" display.

So it's not every 12 hours?

So that "How To Survive Game" is refreshingly good. Bright colors, interesting if simple crafting stuff, good online/single player implementation (you can continue offline). The story is your typical survive or die zombie thing, but not somber or super serious.

For 74 cents (or 1 dollar with most of the DLC) you could do a lot worse. Greatest price/enjoyment ratio for this sale so far.

I just realized how I somehow missed the Rocksmith DLC sales.
It was the chrome extension. It market the sales as "In library" ang grayed it out. Because I already own the base game. That way I didn't even look at that tile. My brain just removed it from the grid. Because normally I have a policy that I don't buy DLC... ever. But for Rocksmith, I was specifically waiting for the sales on the DLC to boost my music set list.
Guess I got owned by enhanced steam... :(

So..I am holding back cause I don't want my SO to see how much I spend. Yet they don't care.

Only reason why is cause they will see everything. I am using her account to buy stuff (cause her account is local here while I keep my account in the states - I have both but don't want to get in trouble for switching at fly).

lol >.<

How is Civilization Beyond Earth?I love Civ 5 and my cursor is hovering above the add to cart button. I see this fall it will receive an expansion!

I'd wait. Civ V is far superior and while I lack CivBE, it's broken. I don't know if the recent update fixed everything but it's somewhat of an improvement. Check out the last few pages of this thread for impressions.

If I already own State of Decay on Steam, is it worth buying the State of Decay Year One Edition? Would it be better to just buy the other 2 DLC separately?

Anyone knows if there's a remote chance that Abyss Odyssey will be a daily deal/flash sale candidate? It's one of the few games I really want, but my fundage is shorter than what I thought it initially would be.

Also, hit level 10,020 last night in the meta game, and had to work this morning and afternoon, so I didn't get to start getting into a game right away. It's so sad seeing those scrumptious 5k+ level games on the friends games list that I can't join. That whole "game started more than 10 min ago" restriction is poopy.

Wait.....wut

I do not think I will ever get a high badge level for this monster summer game. I keep getting dumped into rooms where it fizzles out around level 200. I then see people above 8000 in my friends list.

Seems like a good candidate for a Monster game deal or flash. Probably not a daily.

I'm about to hop into that now I love zombie/survival game and like you said for $1 there is a ton to do.

I've had alot of fun helping H1Z1 newbies today. Talking to fresh spawns trying to team up and give them gear and teach them how to get a nice starting loadout. Then once I gain their trust I murder them in cold blood. :)

If I already own State of Decay on Steam, is there a point in buying the State of Decay Year One Edition?

It has "mixed" reviews on Steam, take that FWIW. Researching a little about what all is new with it hasn't really compelled me to get it, when I can get all the DLC for the original game for $4.88.

Can you guys use in-home streaming on Lego Games and have them play at 60fps on the remote computer? I can't seem to get it working flawlessly with them. Jurassic World and Lego Marvel aren't as smooth as I'd like them to be despite running at a locked 60fps on my PC.

Does the Alien Isolation season pass add any meaningful content to the game? Wondering if it's worth picking up along with the base game.

Fable's been on my wishlist for a long time. I've never played the first one and loved 2 & 3 (yes 3 too). I don't have time to play it now though so I'm not sure if I should wait for a flash sale on it to save a few more bucks. I also don't really think it will end up in the best of sale on the last day so Im a bit torn.

EDIT: Eh, its only 8 & change, its not like it'll go down by much more than 75%. Time to buy

Yeah, I noticed it was cheaper just to buy the DLC so was wondering if it was worth the difference.

The consensus on Alien DLC seems to be Last Survivor and Crew Expendable at .99 each.

Both feature set locations and voice cast from the original movie.

How's the Grim Fandango Remastered? The original is one of my favorite classic adventure games...

It's fantastic! Best way to play that game these days. The point and click interface is awesome, as well as the new lighting system and resolution support. The achievements are fun if you're into that kinda thing.

What's the deal with the monster game anyway. Had it on for around 12 hours and I only got the 1 card when I joined the game.

Yeah I went from 1-260 with 1 drop, and I was "active" most of the time. Spending points, leveling, using items etc.

Used all 3 lanes, fought tons of bosses, did good damage, never even died.

So if there is a trick to it, I have no clue.

I bought 3 games and got 5 cards though lol.

The game itself is of course fantastic, but the 'remaster' was a pretty lazy job. The prerendered backgrounds were left untouched so it sticks out like a sore thumb with the higher resolution models, but I couldn't get the old version working at all so it's good just to play it without any issues.

Bought Hotline Miami (not Daily/Flash, but can't get much cheaper) and Murdered: Soul Suspect today. Bring on the next batch!

I'm not sure how much you're looking off of it, but as somebody else told me Indiegala has it for $30 and it redeems on Steam.

Realistically I couldn't see it dropping below 50% off so I ended up going that route.

Thanks mate, picked it up form Indiegala. Do they usually takes ages to send the code through?

Been over an hour and nothing. =/

I have a craving for a space combat/strategy game. Don't really have much experience with the genres. Any good ones on sale and/or should be a daily/flash?

state of decay if you havent played it, is more like an rpg zombie survival game i guess. Your characters level up and you have to keep everyone happy and play therapist a times.

Its a fun game no doubt. Only played it on the 360 when it came out, its been a while.
