You guys are hard nuts to crack. The return of good old Doom is great. Gorgeous visuals, crazy as hell weapons and fast, old school gameplay.

Chainsaw being an auto kill is kind of disappointing. Too much focus on finishing move animations, not enough monsters and enemies attacking you.

Overall there are more positives than negatives, though.

It looks repetitive to me, like it would get boring quick. Too each their own though. Encounters have little variation,, very linear..

... have you played new order? it looks a lot like that. seemed like a totally realistic target to me, even if that specific demo might have been highly scripted.

I have.

I don't mean graphically. The graphics aren't impressive at all. It was just a totally scripted fake level where you keep finding a new AWESOME weapon every 30 seconds and the (braindead AI) enemies all die in one shot.

I'm not a Doom fan, but I understand that people are, so to the people constantly complaining, maybe chill a bit. It was easy to guess they would spend a good amount of time on each of their games.

Plays it safe - but looks awesome as a fan of the first two games. A modern take on a classic. The MP is giving me Quake 3 vibes - very GOOD thing.
