No fucking clue
Real fucked up of them to not be more specific
Pre orders could go up any minute or in a month
Only guarantee is that they will sell out in minutes when they do go up
I'm glad for voiced dialogue, the old system is archaic as fuck.
oh yeah; the games graphics still look like dog shit
he smartly took barely a couple seconds to mention "engine" and "lighting" when the demo got near water and immediatly went into something else cause boy
You need to smoke a joint man! Before you know it you'll have 8 hours put into your house
I'd have to agree. Kudos to you for taking the evolution in a tempered way instead of flipping out and calling for the death of the franchise as a whole because of the catering shift.
Anyways, I was really onboard until the housing thing came on. The first thing that popped up to be is "what does this have to do with Fallout"? In a series that revolves around decadence and physical decay, why are we building things? Why am I crafting weapons instead of scavenging and using what I have until it's past its usefulness?
It's apparent that Bethesda really is trying to chase the Minecraft/open-world formula. I'm...okay with it, but I'm not really okay with it, ya know?

You're whining about a game that hasn't even come out yet.
Are you serious?
It's the exact same thing with dialogue and story, he didn't say anything about those except "lol you can shoot em in the face whenever you want". Not a good sign.oh yeah; the games graphics/animations still look like dog shit and this is gamebyro to hell and back

I'm not going to bed until as US amazon/best buy link shows up for the Pip-Boy edition
This game shot to the top of my "first fall game to be delayed till 2016" list as soon as its date is revealed. And I wouldn't be one bit disappointed given their buggy ass game history. In fact i'm more wary of it being announced so soon no matter how long they have been working on it.
also yes call it fanboyish but The Witcher 3 just raised the fucking bar forever
Not whining, just stating facts
You've seen the gameplay trailer. How about people start being honest on what they seen so far.
Looks great? Looks Amazing? Game is absolutely next gen looking?
I doubt that'll start today. Amazon isn't going to put up the link at 12 in the fucking morning lol

I we all know what this game is dude
its not really an educated guess, we've been through this many times and I dont think its crazy to assume this is exactly what it looks like considering bethesda output
Its like I watch the gameplay and go "yup" and can almost feel myself playing a bethesda-ass bethesda game
and thats great for some, sure
Yes, but many people who worked on that are still there.
also yes, call it fanboyish but The Witcher 3 just raised the fucking bar forever and I just rather see this style of game going in that direction

None of those things are really stuff that you're going to see in a 9 minute e3 gameplay demo though, even if its there. As always, the proof is in the pudding.
Sure they didn't show a lot, but the kind of character interaction they did choose to show looked like little league compared to even the most menial of interactions from the witcher 3. The kind of dialogue and character interaction bethesda have been barely passing for years is no longer acceptable in the post witcher 3 world.

And I mean it's all redundant to complain now because people love Bethesda's Fallout and old Fallout is never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever coming back ever forever. But yeah. Like, as a person who grew up on games like Fallout, "in depth role playing" is not how I'd describe Bethesda's take on the franchise at all. It's a totally different type of game that serves a different purpose for a different audience.

No need to compare it to Witcher, just compare it to New Vegas, which also raised the bar when it was released.also yes, call it fanboyish but The Witcher 3 just raised the fucking bar forever and I just rather see this style of game going in that direction
I'm still trying to process all of this. It's weird, because my initial reaction was I was hyped/excited as fuck. But then at the same time, I felt a wave of disappointment in what I was seeing. Then after all was said and done, I was kind of left with a..uh, wtf was that, feeling?
I just wasn't expecting this game to go the over the top sand box route, with a bunch of crazy whacky things to do. As i said before, it reminded me of Dead Rising, Saints Rows, Grand Theft Auto and hell throw in the Sims in there for good measure.
It kind of bothered me when he kept saying "IT JUST WORKS". The whole drag and drop stuff, kind of felt like really dumbed down mechanics. Of course, I don't know how it will play until I play the damn game. So I am by no means judging it fully. But it did kind of worry me how often he kept saying "don't worry, it JUST WORKS". Uh...okay.
SO when I took in everything, it just felt like a really over the top sand box game, as opposed to an immersive post apocalyptic role playing game. And I mean, yeah, Fallout has always had its charm + wit. It was always a funny game. But I just didn't expect what we just saw (which was super over the top and whacky).
I just hope to hell, that the dialogue stuff is actually good, as well as the side missions. I would hate for this game to be like Skyrim, where it's this really massive/gorgeous world. But it's kind of empty, and the side missions aren't that well written. So you are just left with a bunch of whacky/over the top mechanics (building stuff, and going crazy with weapons and traversing).
I didn't notice any skill checks or skill selection in the character creation. They wouldn't...![]()
Ok, so this is one of those times where, although I love Witcher 3 more than any game Bethesda has ever made, I will say that there are clear differences in goals between their games and what CDPR offers. In Bethesda games you can do anything, be anything, and create an incredibly custom experience. It's highly non-linear. People absolutely love that.
Witcher 3 on the other hand is a tailored experience, a linear story, a single, locked protagonist who basically is who he is. There's not a whole lot of customization in builds, the loot is not much of a priority, and you can't go and join every guild or kill civilians.
I personally prefer the latter, it's quite basically all I want out of an open world game, while the former usually just bores me and feels impersonal. But that's my taste, and a ton of people adore the freedom that kind of design provides. It's two different things.
