Odd,purchased Slender on the £1.04 offer but got charges £5.46.

Guess I need to contact support.

Already bought enough games this month but MW2 is tempting.

What is the best Ys game to get into?

I'm not usually into JRPGs, but gameplay videos look interesting enough for me to consider trying it out.

Alice Madness Returns is good but is sadly too long for its own good.
Make sure to use the 60 FPS Fix for Killer is Dead (Check Steam Guides) and experience dat Suda 51 greatness.

Thanks. I like the look of alice madness returns but i guess i will have to give it a miss now

Origin or Oath, depending on taste. (Origin is more focused to me)

The latest one from what I've heard is the weakest of the three, which is why I'm waiting for 75%.

I'm having trouble with finding a way to add funds to my Steam credit, and the only game I was planning to buy was Alien: Isolation, which is on a daily deal right now, and I might be unable to buy it. ;_;

I've had Lisa on my wishlist for a while, so that's my first purchase of today.

Everyone should check out the Ys games, they're fantastic action games.

This might only be useful to UK GAF members, but Ebay/Paypal are doing a 20% off code (CTWENTY) today, so if you buy a Steam Wallet code off there, you can save a few quid. Every penny counts!

Works in the US. I missed the $10 off $50 a couple days ago, went ahead and got this. Hopefully I can restrain myself from blowing it in 2 days already have a huge backlog.

Heres the link for others.

So, being a Civ V lover and having people here recommending me to not buy Beyond Earth, should I bite the bullet with endless legends?

Does it have xpacs? Are they good?

The countdown timer 10 pixels to the right of where it says "summer deal" isn't specific? It's a flash deal.

Considering every time a daily or flash sale previously went live, the steam app updated its description and specifically said flash/daily, yes I wanted to double check before purchasing too soon.

Short answer is yes. In my opinion Iceberg seems to be taking the torch from Firaxis and running with it. Civ games are on a decline while the Endless series is getting better.

Endless Legend is pretty great. It's a bit jarring at first trying to transition into the mechanics of the Endless series, but worth it in the end.

Using individual product pages to figure that out is a pretty roundabout way of doing it. Simply check the front page for the current dailies/flash.

Killer is Dead worth it? Heard the port sucks.

The port is actually good; you just need to apply the simple 60 FPS fix (check Steam Guides) and the game runs wonderfully.
In fact you can even remove much of the HUD with some simple editing too!

Get it, the game was my GotY 2013 contender.

Ys 6 is the first game to use the engine that Oath and Origin use.
Ys 6 isn't that bad, but once you beat it you will find various elements that are frustrating or wonky.
It's still a fun romp though.

Generally you want to play Ys games on Normal difficulty, but for 1st timers on Ys 6, I recommend playing on Easy =X

The Ys games are best on Nightmare IMO. Although maybe not it it's your first Ys game.

Has Valkyria Chronicles been a daily yet? Currently 50% off and hearing good things

Normal difficulty is more than sufficient for playing through a Ys game.

The harder difficulties do neat stuff like give bosses additional moves, but they also do tons more damage. You're setting yourself up for a crapton of frustration if you start off on nightmare.

They're fairly short games anyway, just bump the difficulty up for the next play-through.

For people with good-to-great skill at the game, sure. For the average player I'd say sticking to Normal for at least your first playthrough is the way to go to learn the ropes, even if it isn't your first Ys.

Are there any good Visual Novels on Steam? Higurashi and *eden seems kinda okay, but everything else I've seen doesn't really inspire much confidence in me. Is there some standout-novel I should look for?

Is there some sort of probationary period when refunding a game? I bought a few games, refunded one and tried to refund another from the same purchase but I couldn't find the option. The first game didn't disappear from my library yet and the refunding is pending, will I be able to refund another game after the first fully goes through?

Just asking again.
