Dark Souls 3 announced (Early 2016, PC/PS4/XB1, Miyazaki Directing)

Same here though I don't even care if it comes two months later, It's PC or bust. I refuse to compromise on quality for a game like this.

I really don't know if i will be able to wait for the PC release... but playing 4k@60fps is so compelling. I want that first experience to be awesome gahhhhh

#DarkSouls3 coming on PS4, XB1 & PC early 2016!

Souls games shouldn't be annualized. They're gonna get real stale and everything that was special about them will drop away. This makes me sad.

The problem is they are taking DS2 key points for references which is kinda weird since you dont need a crown to be a great soul

How Miyazaki can work on many projects at the same time? Maybe his input isn´t that important or full time like some people think.

Given how the chalice dungeons turned out in Bloodborne it wouldn't be completely surprising to hear that Miyazaki was directing DS3 around the same time.

Some people think Miyazaki do all the art, all the programming, all the gameplay concept...

I dont see how is that hard that a Director can work on two games.

Hope it's Souls 2 team developing it with Miyazaki and the 2 guy directing. We need someone to make sure covenants aren't shit after all

Was surprised to see this at the Microsoft conference, since Souls really isn't really the sort of title X-Box fans appreciate. Granted, Microsoft probably needs to try new crap it get it out of the lurch it's in, but still.

So if Miyazaki is directing this does that mean that the team that made the Chalice dungeons in BB are making the DLC? I really hope not...

Miyazaki's name is all I needed to hear, Day 1
Or how ever many days the PC version is released after the console version

I'm playing DS2 again right now and honestly even though it's not quite the perfection of the other titles it's still an easy 9/10 game crushes all other action RPGs. I am really excited for part 3. Mood of the trailer was great! Hope to see more at the Sony booth.

CG trailer is pointless in my eyes, I just hope the game has better environmental/encounter design than DS2.

It was fine that way, took more skill to roll. Rolls are too OP in general, you guys would cry in Monster Hunter with the 2 frames of invincibility.

Rolls in Dark Souls have nothing on Evasion +2/3/Distance Up in Monster Hunter, if you want to talk OP.

Why, though? Should they pretend it never happened? A lot of people enjoyed it.

They need to cater to all the fans, not just the hardcore.

I love Dark Souls II, I just wanted it to be a completely new place, with only lore references, you know? Like, they didn't pretend Lordran didn't exist in Dark II, on the contrary, but you don't fight Black Knioghts or go to Firelink Shrine, you know?

Do people really think that if Miyazki is directing that means the whole team is directing? Miyazaki can work on two games at the same time. He did it with Demon's Souls and Armored Core in 2009.

hey guys miyazaki is directing so now you can suddenly be excited again and quit shitting up every thread about it

I'm already relieved that it's confirmed for the same "early 2016" timeframe. I can wait a few weeks.

praise it. hopefully a short or nonexistent delay for pc version

He did personally design all the areas in bloodborne though, so yeah, he's pretty involved. I guess he's just gonna switch over for the last 3/4 of a year to polish DS3 or something. No way he's worked on it while directing BB.
