I think that was some good shit, if not a bit front loaded. BC and Fallout 4 mods on Xbox were some legitimate Megaton's, Rare's getting let off the leash, Inafune and the Metroid Prime people are making something new together, and Cuphead look fucking fantastic. Furthermore, it turns out that it's pronounced Moyang.

Also, fuck that Early Access bullshit.

I wonder if they were banking on Fallout being their show stealer before Bethesda announced they're doing their own thing.
 
if youre a xbox owner the conference was fine. great even.

Still didnt make me want one, but im mostly a PC guy anyway, I barely use my PS4 as it is, and my days of infinite videogame funds are long gone aswell
 
From purely a technical interest, I'm most interested in the FO4 mods thing.

I cannot wait to see the limitations on that. Modders don't really deal well with TCR's.

Holy shit, yeah. . .where the hell is Below? That was one of my biggest software takeaways from last E3.

Capy's twitter has been all Super Time Force for like a year. And they'll be showing it at the Sony conference too, They must be deeper in development on Below than I thought.
 
I did like the audio announcements and clear labeling on what was exclusive/timed exclusive/pc & xbox one. that is something everyone should adopt.

I just don't think there is ANY game that they could announce that would break hype meters.

Lately, game-changers have evolved slowly over time. The megaton announcement that changes the Industry isn't going to happen anymore imo, not at any conference.
 
Regarding the Fallout 4 mods PC-Xbox cross compatibility (that happened right?), it isn't going to be awesome as it sounds if Fallout 4 needs an out-of-game script extender like every previous Bethesda open world game, which is what all the grandest mods will require to work properly.
 
Cuphead and Rare collection make my head turn a bit.

GB rabble was good for sitting through the rest
Think I'll watch their stream for the Sony/Nintendo bits too!

Same. I just don't see how it's possible without Beth vetting and testing each and every mod to ensure it doesn't fuck up the system or game.

And then there's stuff like Script Extender mods.
 
Great show from MS.

Rare collection seems cool even if new Rare still cant make a game I care about.
Need to hear more about how the Fallout mod stuff works. Limitations. XB1 only? etc...
Was expecting some PC games for the W10 launch but I am not shocked MS doesnt give a fuck again.
And limited BC is cool. Never been a make or break feature for me but its a cool differentiator for them.


And shit.... COD at Sony. Bummer.

If they showed Dark Souls gameplay it would've blown my hype meter all the way off, but yeh I agree.

Come on Sony! Lets get that disc / downloadable game BC for at least ps3. If you could do ps2 and ps1, that would be amazing.

I dunno, with MS doing the whole BC megaton, maybe us folks who want BC aren't really that small of a minority then?!

My problem with PS Now is that it should have been Sony's "Sega Channel." A subscription service either as standalone or integrated into PS+ (can't happen now I guess) that offers an ever expanding list of classic games. Keep streaming or partial downloads or whatever helps the process be smoother. Sony could probably do the same thing with download games in an run it in an OS environment, but I like the streaming aspect. The cost of PS Now is the deterrent I personally see.

Yes, PLEASE get some BC on the PS4. My PS4 collects dust, it's basically just a metal gear machine for me.
